After previously enjoying coffee at the Ozus Coffee converted caravan down at the base of the Truganini Track in Cartwright Reserve on Sandy Bay Road, we decided that a visit to the new Ozus Coffee cafĂŠ in Battery Point this afternoon, during the opening week, was a must.

We ordered two long black coffees, and both were excellent - noting that one was decaffeinated and, to my surprise, the best decaffeinated coffee I have ever tasted!

The interior of the new cafĂŠ was cosy and very hygge - if you are not familiar with that famous Danish word, you soon will be! - and the service was lovely.

I might also add that it is truly great to see two young Tasmanian entrepreneurs successfully forging ahead with their business endeavours at a time where the state, national, and global economies are in serious turmoil.

Congratulations on getting through your opening week, and we sincerely thank you for the brilliant coffee and service - we will both definitely visit Ozus Coffee (at both locations, too!) again, and we both wish you all the very best with your...

Since I was staying in Battery Point, it only took a short walk to get to OZUS Coffee—super convenient and cozy. I’ve become quite familiar with the neighborhood, and the area is full of charming photo spots, especially with the early morning or afternoon sunlight casting a warm glow over the historic buildings.

Tucked on a quiet corner, OZUS is a small yet vibrant specialty café. The space is warm and welcoming—whether you’re seated by the window inside or enjoying the breeze in their outdoor courtyard, it’s a perfect place to relax.

📸 One more thing: the streets around OZUS are incredibly photogenic. Whether you’re into casual street photography or just want a beautiful morning walk, this neighborhood delivers that peaceful,...

Wandered down for coffee this morning and some breakfast. The coffee was 10/10. Breakfast bagel & smashed avo 10/10 The service was amazing. The girls working here were warm and welcoming. They had a situation they had to deal with and they handled it calmly and did everything they could to rectify the situation even though they were visibly upset by what had happened. When another person came in looking for a answers as to what had occurred earlier, I felt I needed to let them know how well I thought the girls handled the situation. When I went to pay, they gave me 2 free coffees for sticking up for them. These girls are absolute gems.

I can not recommend this gorgeous little Cafe highly enough. I will...

We were exploring Battery Point on Good Friday and Ozus was one of the few cafes open. Very happy we stumbled upon them though. Such a cute little homely place, complete with fireplace for the chilly mornings. Nice courtyard out the back too, but unfortunately we had to get takeaway as the place was full. The coffee was great but the food was the star of the show. One of the best bagels I've ever had and the brisket toastie was incredible too. Great service too, even on a busy morning when they were booked out and people waiting the staff were friendly and happy. Ended up going back again the next day for another coffee and could sit inside as it was a lot quieter.

Cute little cafe. Coffee claims to be the best in Battery Point however found my oat flat white on the weak side. I ordered the caramelised peach French toast with ricotta looking forward to the caramelised peaches specifically however got 2 raw slices and more spiced apple. The French toast itself was dense (one piece only), a bit stodgy and drowning in syrup on the plate. Please update or inform your customers if the described dish has changed. Service also could not cope with being 2/3 full and we weren't the only ones asking where our food was.
