A must see highlight of Hobart, this was an absolute favourite from my visit to Tasmania. I was briefly disapointed to see two steps to the entrance, but the owner was very helpful in telling my partner and I about the wheelchair entrance through the neighbouring store. This is very much an art gallery where the art is for sale, rather than a gift shop with mass-produced stuff you could get somewhere else. Prices start from around $10, perhaps a little cheaper, and a good range of stock was priced from $10 - $100. As someone wanting to bring home gifts for family and shopping on a budget, I appreciate this. It has a wide range of work by different glass artists, as well as a smaller number of paintings and other kinds of art. Dismal. drab. Our tour guide was correct, we should have kept walking. To top it off , Not very friendly staff.A few doors up past this shop there is a collection of small shops with true curated arts and more representative of the Tasmanian Art culture.Always take the tour guides...
Read moreI had the most pleasant purchase experience at Wooby Lane Art Gallery.

This added a very personal touch to the beautiful painting I took home and my Tassie experience.
Thank you and I look forward to seeing you again on my...
