My flabber was ghasted.
The minute my plate landed in front of me, I knew it was gonna to send shivers down my spine. It was glossy, it smelled like depth and basil, and each vegetable looked like it was individually charbroiled.
I ordered a pad kee mao with beef and the portion was massive, probably intended to share. No no no, we do not share when our greedy papillae have tasted heaven.
I gobbled it down like a beady eyed gollum and left nothing but a single speck of grease.
One small minor adjustment would be that it was a bit salty initially but once my tongue calibrated we weren’t going home in a hurry.
My partner got a red curry with chicken and it was also a massive serving. The flavors were delightful - perfectly sweet and savory (helped balance out my dish). He asked me as he also scraped the last morsels: “why can’t we get this at home?”
Well my darling, I have not mastered the art of Thai spices. But I promise you I will travel to the deepest mountains of Thailand and train as a humble cook to bring back the essence of this dish for you.
Or you know, we can drive the two and half hours from Melbourne to eat here again.
I think the ambiance could be sooo much better though: if the lighting was switched out to something softer and less “let me look into your soul”, and the chairs were changed to something cozier, i think they’d have a destination restaurant cos holy heck im impressed and will be dreaming...

The Young Girl working on the 07/07/2025 was a Hospitality nightmare. Made my Takeaway order at 5:50pm was told it would take about 5 to 10 minutes. 6:05pm sat in the shop Young Girl looked at me but never called my name out . She Started wiping down a few tables when went back to the front counter as a few people collecting phone orders come in the shop she was happy to call out there names. By now It was 6:20pm i started to worry, I looked up at the front counter She then said whats your name again ? Oh that's right here it is

The food was indeed authentic Thai food, rice and noodles were generous portions, we tried all the classic dishes and they were delicious with all the right flavours and spice. I put the 4 stars for atmosphere because I found the place a little too cold for my comfort, we had to wear our jacket inside this place, the ventilation was blowing cold air inside, we felt warmer after dinner.
