My Mum and I regular this place for our mother-daughter dinner dates and we love it! The food quality never disappoints and the meat quality is genuinely amazing. I love Japanese & Korean barbecues (each to their own - I just love wagyu) and have tried multiple and this is in my top 3 - comparable with some of the ones i’ve had in Melbourne! If you’re looking for tasty food this is definitely a great place to try.
I love how it’s close to home and I don’t have to travel to some places like the city or sunnybank to get some yummy, authentic asian food - as the ones i’ve tried in the springfield area are usually lacking and don’t feel authentic. It is a bit more on the pricey side, especially for the area, but the quality of the food & drinks are so amazing that I feel like it’s pretty much worth it.
The only issues we’ve had is that sometimes it’s hard to get the staffs attention if you need something. ie we use the call staff button from the QR Code and don’t really receive any service , or we try to call them over with hand but sometimes they’re just really busy and don’t really notice (i don’t blame them!). We’ve also had an issue where one of the staff wrote down the wrong thing with our order and we were served something different, however the restaurant was full so it was quite loud & our issue was resolved and we were only charged for what we asked for.
This is a bit of a personal taste but I find the restaurant very bright! Definitely not a bad thing but I think it would be really nice is the lights were maybe a tiny bit dimmer or if they had some more ambient lighting and better seating arrangements. Like most KBBQ I feel like we are quite close together with neighbouring tables and I think it would be lovely if they had more room or even outdoor seating (which was probably not permitted). Saying this, I would say the BBQ isn’t very accommodating to larger groups and I wouldn’t really go if you had over 8 people - especially broader people might have a hard time squeezing together at their largest table.
Overall, if you were skeptical about trying this restaurant I highly recommend it! It’s a lovely place to dine and despite the minor bumps I will definitely keep returning! The food is amazing and I recommend going for a special occasion due to the...
Read moreI’m really conflicted on this restaurant. I love that there is a Korean BBQ in Springfield since normally I’d have to go into the city or Sunnybank. The place looks great, the food quality is absolutely top notch, but it really feels like they are nickel and dimming.
There is no buffet option, so you’re going to be paying roughly $60+ per person as everything is ala carte. All of the side dishes are $1 each (per little dish), but this isn’t made clear on the menu - we assumed it would be $1 per refill of all but it was each - we got maybe a mouthful of kimchi on each round. When you’re paying $200 for 4 peoples worth of meat, it seems pretty silly to not provide free sidedishes as most other places do. A plate of lettuce is $10. Bowl of Rice is $4.
The meat was wonderful, but again, $40 for $150 grams of wagyu skirt is insane. For the 3 of us the bill was $190 and we left hungry. Really disappointed. I don’t think all Korean BBQ needs to be buffet style but for the price and serving size of the meat, rice and sides should be included and unlimited.
I hate to say this but I won’t be back - I’ll probably travel to Sunnybank or the city since the restaurants are the same price or cheaper for a...
Read moreNeedless to say the service was okay, the girl attending us was cosplaying as a nonchalant baddie and acted confused and dumbfounded when we asked for fresh kimchi and to have our coal reheated. To talk about the food and experience, the food overall was mediocre at best the “fresh marinated” meat was FROZEN and had a gloop of sauce on top. The “fresh kimchi” tasted like water with a side of cabbage and for the veggies on the side there was 3 pieces MAX (1 for each of us apparently). The utensils were dirty and a cup of ours had lipstick stains on it, makes us actually wonder how clean the place really is. The charcoal wasn’t even hot the pork was basically oinking off of the grill and when we asked for it to be reheated, the reply was “ugh what?”. Overall the experience was really disappointing and the pricing that we calculated was completely off because when we got up to pay the total was atleast $15 more than our calculated total. Just disappointing go somewhere else, save your time and money. Go...
