Frequently visit various Nandos however the springfield store unfortunately is the worst one I have visited.
Finding a table is difficult as lots of tables are not clean so after cleaning a table I Ordered 1/2 chicken and Large peri peri chips, I waited a very long time ⌛️ the store wasn't full by no means. When the food arrived it was very dissapointing the chicken cooked till it was black and charcoal, The chips not crispy and not much peri peri and coupled with old stale chips which looked like sweet potato.
I won't be revisiting again I'll stick to redbank plains store as they are the most consistent.
Absolutely Disgraceful – Nando's Springfield Has No Standards
12/03/2025 A year later and in travelling stopped at this same nandos which looked to have been remodelled, but yet again another terrible experience at Nando’s Springfield, I feel like people should be warned.
I ordered a whole chicken with BBQ basting and waited 45 minutes—which, while excessive, I could understand if the store was busy. However, what I cannot excuse is the shocking quality of food and service that followed.
When my order finally arrived, the chicken was stone-cold, smashed to bits, and looked like it had been thrown onto the plate with zero care. It was over-basted, undercooked, and honestly, completely inedible. But the worst part? My chips and drink were missing.
I waited another 10 minutes watching Uber Eats orders fly out the door while dine-in customers like me were ignored. Finally, I approached an employee about my missing items, and instead of any attempt at customer service, I was met with pure attitude. She scrunched her face and dismissively said, "It's not ready, it will come when it is." When I pointed out that my chicken was already cold and disgusting, her response was a sarcastic, "Oh well, what do you want me to do?"
At this point, I felt completely disappointed and returned to my table to wait. Eventually, my chips arrived, and guess what? They were cold too. That was the final straw—I gave up. After waiting nearly an hour for garbage-quality food and being treated like a nuisance, I walked away knowing I would never return to this store.
This is now my second bad experience at this location, and frankly, Nando’s as a business is failing miserably at what it set out to be. The original Nando’s stores actually cared about food quality and customer service, but these days? There are no standards left.
Save your money. This place isn’t worth the time, frustration, or disappointment. Don't do it go somewhere else.

My partner and I waited to order at counter as i normally do, ready to order.
We were then served by a young lady (couloued hair and piecings, i think). I was told I'd need to go sit at a table to order using the bar code with the phone. I asked if would it be OK to order her as we have waited and know what we want.
I was told ok this one time, with a sigh and attitude like she will be doing us the favour because we just made her do extra work.
Picking up it was a big issue to take our order there and then, I said I'll go outside and use the app. My partner was disgusted as she like nandos food before and we haven't had this experience before.
So found a table and the app wouldn't work properly, then they wanted my your details before you can make an order. It felt like a personal detail grab so I could be spammed with promotional material.
Anyways the app was slow and would jot load and kept asking for all my details.
We had enough and walked back into the shop and requested to speak with a manager, and explained our frustration or trying to purchase food and the experience we have had so far.
It was explained by the manager, thats how head office wants it now.
So to head office, I have been going to many Nandos stores at various locations because I love the food. Pretty much since the first store opened in Robina on the Gold Coast.
However this new policy you have of hiring sub par unenthusiastic employees with no sense of customer service or the bare minimum of at least taking money from paying customers will gradually put a bad taste in your loyal customer base.

Drink placed on table almost immediately great! Waited 20 mins for the waitress to come out with the wrong meal (1/4 chicken, pita and coleslaw when I had ordered a pita, chips and there) no issues mistakes happen. She proceeded to walk around for 5 mins and then came back and attempted to put the same meals in front of me again, indicated that these were definitely not my order.
Waited another 10 mins went inside to find out what was happening, showed my confirmation had my meal thrust into my hands to take back to the table myself.
Sit at the table meal was completely cold. Returned to the counter, was offered to have remade or a refund, ask for it to be remade provided it wasn’t going to take another 20mins. In about 10 mins the remade meal is placed in front of me (incorrect basting, hot which is too hot for me, cheese missing) return to the counter wait in line to be meet with an eye roll.
Requested a refund to be told it needs to be processed via head office because I ordered using the QR code, ridiculous but whatever show my order confirmation, request for an email to be sent to confirm and to check details written down, which where done incorrectly.
Asked if the person I was dealing with was the manager (Christina/ Justina - softly spoken so could not quite hear) confirmed that she was. Let her know that the long blonde hair girl on in uniform on her break was sitting in the dining area vaping, and that its completely inappropriate, met with yet another eye roll.
Left 50mins after ordering without food and uncertain if the refund will actually be processed as it was written on a piece of receipt paper to deal with later.
