Hai Dozo — Restaurant in Jindabyne

I had high hopes for this new eatery as there are no good Asian food options in town. Unfortunately it was disappointing and expensive for very mediocre food.

Pork gyoza and chicken karaage were soggy instead of being crisp as it should be, and the gyoza also tasted off.

Chicken katsu and karaage tofu were very dry - especially the tofu.

The curry in the curry bowls tasted like packet curry and had barely any vegetables in it. You’re better off going to Woolies and getting a box of Golden Curry, meat and veges to make it yourself.

Don’t even bother with the sushi and sashimi options. I saw them making it while I was ordering the food and the “chef” definitely did not know how to handle the sashimi properly.

Enjoyed our take away meal around the corner of the shop there is plenty of open free seating in the Nuggets Crossing centre.

Portion sizes where good for the price. We got the Chicken Katsu and the JFC chicken as a side. Recommend both, very enjoyable.

The curry was flavourful, creamy lacking a little in spice but you can always add spice, and we prefer spicy food. Rice was nicely cooked. All the food was hot :)

We bought a number of takeaway dishes for dinner. Overall the quality was average, ok but not the greatest. Our biggest gripe was the serving sizes.
