Experienced Brotzeit for the first time with family this evening. There were plenty of foods to choose from on the menu. We chose the garlic, onion cheesy bread, chicken minons with mash and salad, loaded chips and snitzel cheese bacon bowl and the beef and pork bun with coleslaw. All meals came out presented nicely but weren't what we expected. The food was nice but lacked some extra flavour. The pork bun had a sweet BBQ sauce and a plain coleslaw. The minion was OK but needed a bit of something as well. Table setting was good. We booked a table but didn't need to as the place was quiet. We were able to choose our table. Service was great. Plates were provided for garlic onion cheesy bread and our meals came out fast and at a reasonable time. Drinks were given almost straight away and were tasty. We would all go back but maybe try different foods on the menu. Parking may be difficult as it's at joondalup shopping centre. We were lucky enough to find a park out front and after 6pm parking is free. We were also able to use a 25% off voucher through the entertainment book/app. Overall recommend for a casual dinner with meats and family friendly.

Ordered two Weihenstephan beers, some bar snacks, pork belly bites, loaded pork belly fries and a Reuben. The beer was really nice but came in dirty glasses. The Reuben came on white bread rather than sourdough as described and with no sauerkraut and lame, slim, deli cuts of corned beef. Bit of a lunchbox special. Definitely not worth $24, zero garnish, just a plain sarnie with a cocktail stick jammed in it. The poppers and bites were from frozen packs. The chips were okay. The lady who served was pleasant and attentive, though she started a tab and I had to point out that it was still happy hour when I settled the tab. On that… the happy hour clientele were rough, kept loudly unblocking their noses and throats at the bar, chucking out the c bombs. All in all, no good. German bars are normally good for generous cuts of bread and meat- you’re better off going to Varsity for a burger if that’s what you’re after. I wouldn’t come back except for a swift pint. I’d head out to the Duckstein if I fancy a pork knuckle. Disappointing.

Warm and welcoming on arrival. Good selection of German craft beer but that’s where the good parts stop. Ordered the “crispy” pork belly, bratwurst, mash and sauerkraut. Beside the sausage which was ok, it was literally the worst meal. Pork had dried up like a rock and the crackle- despite what it looks like it was a soggy chewy mess. The mash was a white watery slop, it was hands down the worst mash I’ve ever had in my life. As for the chicken schnitzel, shame as it’s a small processed one with a super processed flavour, not a handmade one you’d expect from a German schnitzel place. The slaw was just cabbage- no sauce or flavour. The only good thing was the mushroom sauce. Told the lady about the food and she was apologetic and gave me a takeaway box for free instead of charging 50c. Side note- the windows could seriously do with a clean too. So grubby and dirty.

We booked a table for 7.15pm Saturday Night 17th Oct for 4 people. We arrived on time & were greeted by a young lady who seemed to be in quite a hurry. She informed us that the last food orders will be taken before 8pm & she said we would have to order in the next 5 mins then proceeded to take us to our table. She basically came over almost immediately & asked us if we were ready to order our food. At this stage we were still perusing the drinks menu as none of us had been there before. We told her we will order in a timely manner but we would also like to read the menu. Shortly after we ordered starters, we were approached by a young man within a couple of minutes to remind us the kitchen will be closing & mains orders will have to be placed now, so we did. From 7.15 to 8pm we were rushed into ordering, rushed into drinks, & rushed into our meals. From 8.05 we were approached & asked to pay our bill as they wanted to close the till whilst we were still finishing off our drinks. The young dark haired lady & young man then approached/harassed us 3 more times presenting a bill. The website states that their closing times were at 9pm but unfortunately for us this wasn't the case. The young lady & man obviously had better places to be. When I asked the lady what her name was she told me Christine, I also asked the young man what her name was & he said Susan & that his name was John, however I found out earlier in the night by another patron that her actual name was Melissa. I can't believe the managerial staff could blatantly lie about who they are. We were their for just over an hour! Although the food was nice the 2 staff on that night ruined our experience with their lack of professionalism & care. We will not be returning, don't need to be harassed whilst dining out on Saturday night before 8pm. Some staff training could possibly help with...

A meat eaters delight! Brotzeit German Bier Bar and Restaurant in Joondalup was a perfect choice for winters feast. A relaxed, contemporary venue to enjoy traditional German cuisine.

In Germany, pork, beef, and poultry are the primary meats eaten, with pork being the most popular. Sausages are especially prominent, with over 1,500 varieties produced nationwide.

Our choice tonight was the sharing platter consisting of - • Pork knuckle and devine gravy • Bbq pork belly bites • Creamy Pesto chicken • Currywurst sausage • Kransky sausage • Bratwurst pork sausage Accompanied by sauerkraut, chips (perfectly seasoned and crunchy) with Mustard and sauce. We felt like we had stepped into a meat lover's paradise! All perfectly and succulent.

We could not go past the warm Apple Strudel with cream and ice cream. Flaky pastry wrapping tender spiced apples and raisins. How indulgent!

Brotzeit offers a great selection of German brews on tap and bottled along with wine and cocktail options.

Thank you to Breeanna, for your prompt and friendly service.
