Mad Mex Joondalup — Restaurant in Western Australia

Some of the staff are so rude! When we ordered a burrito, my daughter asked for avocado to be added. The staff member rolled her eyes and gave a dirty look like it was such an inconvenience, then proceeded to “throw” the tiniest bit of avocado (there is an extra charge for it) (the size she added was nowhere near the amount meant to be added). When I then proceeded to comment about how much she added, she showed me the spoonful that was supposed to be added. When I said “you didn’t add that much, you added 1/4 of that amount but yet you’re charging us for it” the person on the till (who was at the time asking my daughter if she’d like anything else and got a drink out the fridge so therefore didn’t see what was happening) then said “she did, I saw her” I said “I’m sorry but she didn’t, she added 1/4 of the amount meant to be added but yet you’re charging us for it” he then was argumentative and unprofessional. The place already is expensive to get food from, but when paying for extras, we at least expect correct servings and not an eye roll and a dirty look and then argumentative staff. Seriously…...

I wanted to share some feedback regarding my recent order at your Joondalup store. I regularly order beef quesadillas from your Karrinyup location and have always received generous portions, which makes the price feel fair.

However, at Joondalup, the serving I received from the bad man had noticeably less beef and cheese almost half compared to what I usually get yet the price was the same. When I mentioned this to the staff, I was told I’d have to pay an extra $3 for more, which I’ve never had to do at Karrinyup.

As a loyal customer, it’s disappointing to see this inconsistency between stores. I hope this can be looked into so all locations offer the same value...

I’m not one to leave bad reviews but I am sadly very disappointed. Terrible, terrible customer service and the food was soggy and unpleasant. I got a burrito and 2 quesadillas. The burrito didn’t have much salad in it at all, it was non-existant, I’ll attach pictures for you to see. The quesadillas which understandably would be a bit soggy were extremely wet and just tearing, leaving a bit mess behind. I am so disappointed as I love Mexican here. Even the staff were unpleasant. After paying, he didn’t even pass me my food or say anything to acknowledge payment had gone through, he merely walked off, I had to reach to take my food. Not a...
