I wouldnât recommend- itâs extremely over priced for the serving size and whilst it was yummy itâs cost $8 for a single cracker with a single anchovy on it. The menus are all on a QR code but they take your order - I find this a bit lazy like why not just print the menus if itâs table service. The focaccia is $8 for two tiny slices and they state whipped butter but itâs a tiny frozen flower of butter and out of proportion to the size of bread- unspreadable. We had asked to try a wine (in the hopes of getting a bottle) the waitress said she needed to ask first? Which I had never experienced before asking before buying a bottle, but then the owner came out and poured a tiny mouthful in one glass when there was two of us? That alone made me not buy a bottle. The service was poor, we werenât offered or given table water when we asked, it also took 30 minutes to get our order taken and they asked us to leave after an hour of dining as they had 3 people walk in and we had made a booking. I had asked if the anchovy toast was a single toast for $8 and she said no the serving is two but when we paid they charged us $16 and the owner had said the waitress had made a mistake , we were then given a coupon for buy one drink and get one free- which again I think shows minimal awareness to maybe the situation. In the end the cost and service was disappointing and I left feeling...
Read moreWent there last night (this was my 3rd visit), the previous 2 visits I really enjoyed but I feel it has gone downhill a bit with regards to service and the quality of the cheese platter. Was served by a young man possibly teenage and when we asked for the 4 cheese platter we were asked if we are ok with chilli cheese and blue cheese. I said we love both and was eagerly awaiting the cheese platter. We were extremely disappointed to receive NO blue cheese, NO chilli cheese and in fact NO soft cheese whatever. We received 4 very similar hard cheeses cut into wedges. Two were so alike that I am pretty certain they were the exact same cheese. There was no spiel about what the cheeses were (as there had been on my 2 previous visits). They were just plonked on the table. We also bought the arancini which were good as usual and the house made focaccia which in my opinion should be served warm not chilled. Together with a bottle of wine and not much change from $175.00, we decided that this would be the last visit. There are much better choices to be made in an economic climate than giving my hard earned money to a business which doesnât even pretend to provide a unique or or at least half way reasonably...
Read moreDisappointing flavours, unwelcoming manager. First there was a booking system error that sent us 2 correct email confirmations, but in their internal system showed different booking time and number of guests. The manager made us feel that it was not their fault, and they would make us a favour by discounting the cancellation fee from our bill. That was weird but we were not going to let it spoil our date.
Then we ordered a bottle of wine, a couple of cheese plates, and thought it was good, but nothing too âdinning outâ worthy. So I asked to have one more cheese plate, but with some of the more interesting cheeses they had on display at the counter. They say âsorry noâ. âAll the cheese plates are pre-prepared and weâre not allowed to cut any more cheeseâ. That was disappointing so we decided to finish our meal and go somewhere else. While settling our bill the manager said âsorry about all thatâ, and added âlucky I was here to sort out your booking mix up otherwise I donât know if the staff would have known what to doâ. If the service in a venue is not great, normally I give feedback to the manager, but what to do when itâs the manager that does not make you...
