I regret to recommend here to colleagues of mine once before as now I found this shop horrible with an extremely rude female Asian staff who is ignorant and lazy to serve (I called her several times then she saw me but served another table and went back to sit!! There was even worse attitudes for which one of the main staff apologised during the previous visit. He told me that they wanted to fire her but could not find anyone else to replace due to Covid circumstances despite they acknowledged all the complaints about the rude female staff from numerous clients) On our last visit, we were hoping not to see her again (unfortunately the other restaurants which sell black noodles closed early on the day), but she was still there being as rude as usual and stated she was now "owner" and 'a wife of owner' so she didn't want to call owner when I was trying to complain about her service, to the real owner! The owner later came out and said she wasn't even a girl friend! Nevertheless, there wasn't even a bit of difference with the attitude of the owner. What a great rude team! Taste awful but very arrogant with their customers and business. If you still want to visit here? Make sure you put on an extra jacket when it's cold because they refuse to keep doors closed as they have "smell in the restaurant". I assume that their ventilator was broken or etc. They never listen to a single simple request for you! I will never ever...

Visited Hwa Ryong with a Korean/Chinese and learnt that black bean sauce noodles come in two categories: mix your own or pre-mixed. I don’t know the difference in Korean for the two categories, but the trick with the menu here at least is that the ones that mention dry noodle (like what we got) will serve the noodles and the sauce separately so you can mix it yourself at the table. The other kind would have the sauce already mixed / cooked together with the noodles before plating up and serving. Does it make a difference to the final taste? I have no idea…

Anyways our group of 4A+1C shared 4 dishes for a pretty satisfying feed. Other than the bibimbap which didn’t stand out as much for me, I would be happy to have any of the other dishes again. I did find the bibimbap pretty spicy, and it was nice to nibble on some of the complimentary pickled daikon to help cool the mouth down. My only other regret is not visiting sooner, cos I realised afterwards that prices for all the dishes we had are up $1-3 compared to a menu I saw from last year.

Our order: Deep fried sweet & sour pork, med $25 Deep fried chicken with garlic & chilli sauce, $28 Black bean sauce dry noodle with seafood, $17 Korean fusion bibimbap, $18

With this visit I’ve now tried 3 of the Korean eateries in this complex, but still have a 4th on my list for another time! Loving the variety of options here even within the...

I ordered takeaway on Friday evening: Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, Tangsuyuk, Kkanpunggi, and Ulmyeon.

Looking at the menu, you can see that Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, and Ulmyeon are all noodle dishes. So, at first, I thought, “Maybe I shouldn’t have canceled the fried rice. Should I cancel the Ulmyeon instead?” But in the end, I went ahead with my order, keeping the Ulmyeon and canceling the fried rice.

I honestly expected the people I was eating with to question why I ordered so many noodle dishes. The people I ate with have quite picky tastes. But surprisingly, they were just enjoying everything: “This one is rich and flavorful, and that one is refreshing in a different way. Wow, why is the Ulmyeon so good? And how does the Tangsuyuk stay crispy the whole time? This is amazing!”

Everything was absolutely delicious, even though we had three different noodle dishes. The only thing I felt bad about was that I was a bit late for pickup because my kid… But the owner was kind enough to cook fresh noodles for me. Of course, I had to wait a little longer outside, but thanks to their kindness, my group enjoyed the meal even more, and I really appreciate it.

Next time, I’m definitely going to try the fried rice. I have a feeling it’s going to be just as amazing!

Sorry I forgot to take photos because we were too busy enjoying the...

I’ve enjoyed food from here both via delivery and in store. The negative reviews are surprising to me especially after dining in today where I enjoyed all aspects of our meal. Firstly the set menus are tremendously good value as the serving sizes are huge. The spicy seafood noodle soup was rich and warming, perfect for this cooler weather. The noodles with black bean sauce is homely comfort food that the kids love too. My boys also enjoyed the sweet and sour pork that I think was meant to be a side but was really a whole dish in itself. We didn’t experience a long wait for food; items came out at good times and service was friendly and attentive.

😆 OMG. This place is now my favorite korean chinese restaurant in Brisbane. When they were just opened few years ago, people visited there reviewed very differently. Some said delicious some said never visit again. So i never tried before. But now how delicious there dishes are! The beat quality sweet and sour pork ever. And the set menu is way cheaper than other korean chinese restaurants in Brisbane. I like their special noodles of both black bean and soup. When u wanna very spicy dish, go and try their spicy soup(spicy jjampong). Never regret.
