Good time to visit without crowd is before 6pm. Staff was helpful. Tofu hot pot came with a bowl of rice. It was flavourful with few slices of shiitake and chicken mince. The Pratha set with beef curry was ok, although I think chicken could have been better, not so dry overdone meat. The roti seemed to be the frozen ones from supermarket. The small portion of Dahl had a piece of tomato in it that tasted somewhat off. Sambal ikan bilis had more onions than ikan. Kangkong belachan tasted really good, but I suspect there’s lots of msg in the preparation that gave me an allergic reaction to it. 3 layer coffee was good. Overall, food can still taste good without msg, portion size is good. But $25/pax is steep for lunch, street foods. 2nd visit tried Hainanese chicken rice, which was ok. No wow factor. The chillli and ginger sauces were flavourful. Tofu hot pot this time is just full of starchy sauce. The pictures tell a 1000words. Not very consistent, altho it did come out sizzling hot. Still 3 star. 3rd visit tried wanton noodle soup. Not impressed. Bbq chicken = chicken made to look like char Siew (bbq pork). The entire dish is chicken in various preparations: minced, wanton fillings and char Siew look alike. I will not be ordering this dish again. I’d rather just serve it as chicken slices as it is. The look alike gives you an expectation, which sadly, disappoints. Apart from the pickled green chilli that’s ok. Kaya toast and Teh Tarik is ok.

Got there before 6pm and got one of the last few tables available. Had to sit outside, but they had heaters going so it was fine. The place soon filled up and the queue of waiting diners grew. We ordered: - roast chicken rice with steamed oil rice, $11.90 - Penang har mee (prawn noodle soup), $13.90 - teh tarik - air limau (lime juice) The drinks were free as part of their opening promotion - 1 free drink per main meal, valid until 30/6/18. The lime drink was available in hot, even though not listed in the menu. Food wise we both enjoyed the meals, nice flavours portion size. I wished there was more chicken with my meal (the height in the closeup photo is deceiving because it's sitting on a heap of bean sprouts), and wifey would have liked her soup to be more intense. Our drinks came out in about 10 mins, and food about 20. But that was before it got real busy - some people who came later would've waited a good 30+ minutes for theirs. Service wasn't polished - wait staff bringing food out seem confused about which food goes to which table, we had to ask three times to three different staff before getting an extra bowl for the boy, nobody seemed to know or gave wrong information about how to contact the place for a booking (thinking of bringing the parents here), and (sitting right next to where the queues were) I get the impression their queue management needs refinement... But, I'm planning to return and try more of the menu.

Had a Laksa crave. Traveled from CBD as I saw a review from a Malaysian man on reddit, praising the place. Man I was disappointed. This is my personal opinion, but - The broh was reach and creamy, but too salty to my taste, compared to other Laksas I had - Chicken was represented by some pieces of smoked and cut chicken breast. Ham-texture - White (rice) noodles were good and fresh, but yellow noodles were quite soggy - 2 or 3 pieces of some deep fried dumpling (?! ) did they just throw in some old stuff ?! - some decimated veggie (eggplant? capsicum?!) that was absolutely disgusting in texture The only reason for two stars - unlike some of the reviews below, we had very polite stuff and the place looked really clean. I rarely say so, but if you are looking for a laksa - look somewhere else.

First time that me and my friends ever experience bad customer service. This lady from the counter came over to our table and while she was walking towards us, she had her brows and her eyes rudely staring directly to us. We had bought food from a different resto and we decided to eat and order here while looking at their menu and she was not having it and questioned us if we were gonna order and told us to pay at the counter! we’re obviously gonna order here. However, the food was good but this same asian lady served us was so unwelcoming and looked like she didn’t wanted to serve us properly with decent customer service skills! while the customer on the other table she served her with a tissue box and table water. Overall, when our food came while after she never dared to look at us and say anything just dropped the plates on the table while my friends said thank you, and didn’t even say a word to us. Never coming back here again. Rude and disrespectful behaviour! Please consider addressing this issue with her and explain the essence of good...
