Nandos Browns Plains (Takeaway)
I recently had a disappointing takeaway experience at Nandos Browns Plains. My order consisted of two items: "The Halloumi" pita and a large peri peri sweet potato chips.
"The Halloumi"
"The Halloumi" i ordered was a pita bread filled with chicken, lettuce, and halloumi cheese, priced at $15.95. Considering the price point, I expected a substantial portion with the advertised halloumi cheese. Unfortunately, upon reaching home and opening the pita, I discovered it contained only chicken and a small amount of lettuce – no halloumi whatsoever.
I double-checked with the staff before leaving the store, and they assured me the halloumi was included. This experience left me feeling frustrated and misled, especially considering the ridiculous price to pay for that single item. (Why did I decide to buy that? I wanted to try it out, I'm a foodie, it looked appealing on the picture)
Peri Peri Chips Missed the Mark
For the chips, I ordered the large peri peri sweet potato chips, hoping for a unique flavor experience. However, these chips turned out to be just like any regular frozen sweet potato chips, likely similar to what you'd buy at the supermarket. Disappointingly, they lacked the signature peri peri seasoning Nando's is known for and what I ordered, and were seasoned only with regular salt.
Communication Issues
To address these issues, I attempted to contact the store via phone. Unfortunately, my calls went unanswered after multiple tries. With the distance and additional fuel cost involved, returning to the store wasn't a feasible option.
Overall Takeaway Experience
This takeaway experience at Nandos Browns Plains fell short of expectations on multiple levels. Furthermore the customer service was a significant letdown. The unanswered calls further compounded the issue.
Recommendation for customers.
Based on this experience, I would recommend dining in at Nandos Browns Plains rather than ordering takeaway. This seems like a better option to ensure your order is accurate and meets expectations, as you can just go up to the counter and have it rectified on the spot if you did not get what...
Read more1 ⭐ cause it won't post with 0! Service is absolutely appalling! Food was cold. We've been waiting over 40 minutes for our food – ordered at 3pm, so not peak time at all. Even the kids meal for my 2yo has not been brought out. We have watched them prioritise takeaway orders, workers standing around talking, and an older female worker constantly shouting at customers. Apparently the manager. Watched customers leave because of her. We chose to have a nice sit down meal for mother's day and have been severely disappointed. I'm 9 months pregnant and am sitting here getting dizzy and nauseous because of the appalling wait time. We have also watched meals sit on the metal top for over 10 minutes without being brought out. We also ordered an entree that has yet to come out. No entree, no drinks, no food. When food was finally brought out they brought the adults ones out first and not prioritise kids meals, and entree was still not brought out. Food was cold. Waiter stood there like an idiot while my husband said his piece. Couldn't process refund supposedly because they had to go out the back to do it because we ordered online. They make us order online! Was told that refund would be processed "sometime tomorrow" and should be received within 2 days. Our food was still sitting on the table when I went back in to get them to process the refund then, which was about 10 minutes after we'd left after requesting a refund and leaving. Absolutely...

we sat at our tables and ordered online through the qr codes provided. we ordered entrees as well as mains - our entrees were bought out with our mains. staff was rude and unprofessional, just bought our food and didn’t say anything (which in my case is fine because i can be the same way at times but if you’re working, you should treat all of your customers equally and with respect)
they forgot our drinks so we were forced to stand in line for about 15 minutes JUST to get the drinks. when we asked for them, we were given attitude and no apology.
we ordered a quarter chicken & chips and the chicken was basically just a drumstick and a tiny piece of extra chicken hanging off of it. it was severely burnt. like if you don’t like your job then quit because your work ethic should NOT be rewarded with wages if you can’t take your role as an employee seriously. we also ordered the avo crunch salad and were given 3-4 tiny cubes of avocado, little to no dressing and the overall presentation of the food looked NOTHING like the images provided via the menu.
