OMG Rasoi was absolutely sensational! I went there on Friday night for the first time. It was one of the best meals I've had in a very very very long time.
From the moment I walked in, the service was beautifully friendly and engaging. The staff made me feel instantly welcome and male who was either the owner or manager added such a warm, personal touch to the evening by being very attentive.
To start, I had the Fish Pakora — perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and flavourful on the inside. It was the ideal way to kick off the meal.
For the main course, I chose the Kadai Chicken - Indian hot with Garlic Naan. The chicken was incredibly fresh, cooked to perfection, and packed with bold, aromatic spices. I asked for Indian Hot and it was so nice. I wish I ordered nice so I could have taken 1/2 home for the next day - next time...
The naan was soft, buttery, and had just the right amount of garlic — a perfect companion to soak up every bit of that rich, delicious sauce.
And to finish? I indulged in the Faluda Kulfi. Sweet, creamy, and delightfully refreshing — it was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal.
Everything tasted so fresh and authentic. You can really tell they care about quality ingredients and traditional flavour.
I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes. Highly recommend this gem — it’s a must-visit for any Indian food lover!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful first experience at Rasoi. I will be...
Read moreI visited Rasoi by Indian Mehfil with my family. The vibe was nice, and we were expecting a good dining experience.
We ordered butter chicken, chicken tikka, naan, rice, and drinks. I asked for the butter chicken to be mild because my kids can't handle spicy food, and also requested a bit of chilli on the side for myself. The waiter offered either chilli powder or chopped chilli — I chose chopped chilli, as chilli powder can be messy.
When the food arrived, the service was fine, but the butter chicken was too creamy, and the chicken tikka was overly salty. We didn’t complain and just continued with our meal.
However, when I went to pay at the counter, I was shocked to see they had charged me $4 just for the side of chopped chilli. It wasn’t even hot — just a bit of chopped chilli, and not worth the charge at all. I believe every customer has the right to ask for a little chilli on the side if they’ve requested a mild dish for a reason, especially when dining with kids. This felt like an unfair and unnecessary charge.
It’s not about the money — it’s about the principle. I’ve been to many restaurants and never encountered such a charge for something so basic. It feels like they’re just trying to rip customers off. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant any of my friends based on...
Read moreHad a horrendous experience of ordering food over the phone. Ordered two simple entrees which I was informed would only take 10min by the lady (Neha or Sneha) at the restaurant. Got to the restaurant 15min later and the same lady in a very arrogant manner says the order is still not ready and you will have to wait 5min.
Ended up waiting for like another 10min before I enquired again and still no response. Then another lady came (probably the manager) and even she did not have any idea about my order. She went to the kitchen and did not even bother to come and inform me. By the way, no one even bothered to apologise. In the end I think they had not even started preparing my order so I said to Neha or Sneha this is absolutely unacceptable and I am really sorry with this terrible experience and I just left. Again no surprise here, they did not even bother apologising for such a stuff up. Wouldn’t even think about going again. What a...
