The in-house coffee blend is delicious! The Atmosphere is inviting and welcoming. The service has been excellent and very personal.
I've felt compelled to return every day this week. After my third visit, they already recognise me and know me by name, which gives a lot to their credit because it is a busy Tourist region and they meet a lot of different people, but they still take time for personal interaction.
It is a busy little cafe and, yet, the atmosphere is one of welcome and closeness. With only a slight air of pride that comes with the business being in the family for four generations, the love of their work is so thick in the air it's almost palpable. You can feel the pleasure and joy they all have in being there and it's infectious.
The food is all baked in store and made with such care that you can taste the love put into it. The coffee is such an excellent blend that, even though it is made through espresso machine, it tastes like it was made by an artisan.
If you visit Margaret River, this should certainly be one of your stops. I don't particularly enjoy cafe's and I usually find their atmosphere to be pompous, but I've been won over by Egberts.
Treat yourself and pop into this...
Read moreSome of you know I drink coffee and some are new to my reviews. To put it politely, Iâm honest, and this place has glowing reviews but for me it had the most burnt coffee Iâve tasted in a long time. It honestly tasted like the heads were NEVER washed and the coffee was 1000 years old, left in the Sahara desert for at least 50 of those years then put on a fire pit. I normally drink espresso and long blacks, so Iâm used to having it straight. Also, for the amount of staff they had I feel as though their processes could have been better and faster. It all seemed VERY slow and some staff looked like they were filling in time, by simply moving from one end of the cafe to the other. The take away cups I wonât even tell you about how badly designed they were, whoever they use I suggest changing. The bottom gave way and my mums coffee went everywhere. Their only redeeming factor was the lemon almond cake I had was delicious and the girl taking the...
Read moreVery good cappuccino and mochaccino but they don't even have a coffee menu. There was an older man, he seemed very nice as he was having a good conversation with the man in the place and as time passed he realized that he was not going to be able to pick up his coffee because he had to leave quickly. When he told that to the lady who served (he told her to save it for tomorrow since she seemed to be a regular customer) they especially the girl with wavy hair (apparently French) laughed and began to imitate his way of speaking and walking in a mocking manner, which when my partner and I noticed we did not like at all since it does not look professional to laugh at customers in front of other customers and in that manner (especially an older adult who was...
