Having been to Margaret River a few times, this time we wanted to stay somewhere that we didn't have to drive out just to eat or get groceries. So this seemed to be ideal; 1 street away from the main street of Bussel Highway, and within sight of a Coles supermarket. Margaret River is a quiet town, so even with a bus stop right outside our apartment, there were buses waiting there only for about 15 mins each morning and we didn't really hear any engine sounds that bothered us.||We went by to have a look-see as we were walking around the town, and fortuitously met the owner, who allowed us to check-in earlier as there wasn't anyone occupying the apartment the night before. Great bonus as we had driven down from Perth and wanted to unpack & rest. We had the end unit so didn't have to share the entrance with other guests.||The living & dining areas were really huge, with acres of space for 4 people. Each one of us could have our own space on the sofas or balcony, and gathered at the dining table (which could seat 8) for meals & games. Secured parking in a garage just under the unit was also great, so that we didn't have to depend on street-side parking.||Had a great time there and was able to walk to all the places to eat, see & shop in Margaret River! Most convenient place to stay, and also got a discount by booking directly with the apartments instead of through a 3rd party...
Read moreWe stayed for a week at Central Avenue Apartments and loved every minute of it. The location of the apartment is so good particularly for those who wish to check out the eateries around town. With slightly grown up kids, we were able to send the kids out to grab milk and bits and pieces we needed for the odd night of cooking in. ||Coles and IGA are a stone's through away, plus we were surrounded by the best cafes. ||The apartment itself is very well equipped with well kept cookware, utensils and all appliances were brand new. There were some wear and tear but that is to be expected being a holiday apartment. Maintenance of the property is otherwise very good. Everything was in working order. The TV's in every room was a luxury. We ended up with the kids in bed most nights indulging in a movie. ||The master ensuite is a little tight. I was tempted to use the kids' bathrooms some days. The balcony (although a little noisy with vehicles from the road) was still lovely and sunny. It was nice to sit there and enjoy the sun and people walking by.||We wouldn't hesitate to return to Central Avenue Apartments. One of our more enjoyable stays. Excellent coffee downstairs every day and beautiful dinners in town...
Read moreNice accommodation spoiled by greed ||Liked · The apartments are large with nice balconies but sparsely furnished i.e. no cushions on the sofas, no comfortable chairs except the sofas. The kitchen is well equipped except for the essentials i.e. oil, vinegar, etc.||||Disliked · We booked 3 months ahead of our arrival and they took the entire rental cost immediately. That is a bit rich especially when we are talking of over $3,000.00 for two apartments. Most of the other accommodation will take a deposit and only closer to the date they will take the full amount. That policy leaves a bad taste before the actual trip. Personally, I see it as greed and unprofessional.||Of course, to top it off not having hot water on the morning of our departure with temperatures at 16 degrees was not a pleasant experience! I would also recommend changing the pillows that are much too soft and uncomfortable to get a good night's rest. At almost $400.00 a night I leave you being the judge if it is worthwhile to book The...
