Note: I can see that the restaurant viewed my facebook message a week ago and didn't bother to reply.
I sent a private message to the 1001 Nights Facebook page in hopes to discuss this privately but my message has not been seen or responded too. I was in this Saturday afternoon with my husband and friends for a late lunch and I would like to share my experience. I kindly asked the man whom was taking our order what the size difference was between the entree and main for the calamari salad and his response was rather poor and offensive. He responded with "I dunno how hungry you are, what do you want me to tell you the gram size, I dunno the weight, etc." I simply replied with "is the entree like this size" while holding the blue bread plate in front of me "or larger." And he said around that size so I then asked to please order the main size and he said a loud to the table "oh you must be a hungry girl." I then asked to change my order to the entree size because of the embarrassment. The way I was spoken to was disrespectful and abusive for no reason. And at the end of it all I still smiled, said thank you, and paid the bill. I appreciate the time you took to read my feedback but please know I will no longer be supporting your restaurant, which we have enjoyed...

Entering the restaurant, my first impressions were positive, especially seeing the vibe from other patrons enjoying their meals.
I was greeted by front of staff and was asked where I wanted to be seated. I chose the very back away from all of the noise.
I ordered a banquet starting with the meze platter which was perfect; but I couldn't say the same for the targine and the mixed grill. the targine had no love to it like other targines I have had in the past. the meat portions of the mixed grill were warm and no where near hot as one would expect coming off a hot grill...
after our meal I was contemplating whether to have desert at the restaurant or take it home and before I made up my mind the waiter rushed up and asked what I wanted for dessert in a manner which surprised me. I replied I was trying to decide and I asked for more time...then before I knew it he had brought my dessert 🍨 in a take away container -talk about rude! I would of given a better review score but for this moment. it was obvious that the waiter didn't want me to stay and was rushing quickly - in a hurry it seemed.
I hope I can return again to change my review, but as for now I am sorry but I cannot...

After making the booking at the restaurant in person reserving a quiet table ,due one us having a hearing problem, on arrival a very unfriendly lady informed us we had been moved to a another table by the kitchen. We insisted we should have the table we requested and were finally allowed to sit there. We had taken a bottle of wine with us which remained unopened on the table which we had to open and pour our own drinks and refills. With a $10 corkage charge at least they could have opened the bottle and served the wine would you think. Service level totally unacceptable! Certainly won't be back. Front door staff (women) was the most unfriendly I have ever encountered. She obviously doesn't care about client welfare. As were leaving she actually spilled a tomato dip on one other customer and didn't even bother to help try and clean up her jacket just sent a staff member to mop the floor. Not good enough! Saw reply from restaurant. Sorry but it’s was your restaurant. Maybe things have changed since I was there?
