Le Hoang Mount Eliza — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have eaten at Le Hoang twice in recent weeks, the first time with clients, the second with family; this is my assessment. Service at Le Hoang has improved; however, the food has seriously gone downhill. It had the manufactured taste of off-the-shelf sauce/curry mixes. Not the well-balanced and fresh tastes of Vietnamese food that we appreciate in Australia these days. It would take a very convincing individual to have me return to Le Hoang. I ordered seafood combination with vegetables and it was the worse slop known to mankind !!! My partner ordered chicken with vegetables and that was also a slop. There were hardly any veggies in our meals and what was there was a soggy mess loaded with sauce. To top it off, the meals are very expensive for what it is. I'm used to good food and I would not even feed that muck to my dog. We did not eat the meals and demanded our monies back. Never ever will we go back there. I feel like this restaurant may have changed hands as a different man was there last night, the menu has changed a bit ,the place used to be packed full Friday and Saturday nights but half full last night and it just seemed a different vibe. I haven’t dined here for quite some time so this may not be new. I had the Vegetarian Vietnamese Pancake, it used to come out filled with vegetables, last night lots of bean shoots and hardly any veggies but what was there was nice.
