I won't review the burgers and the taste, had a standard chicken burger, it was good as every other burger place is. working just a few blocks away from this place, and after 6 months I decided to give it a try and sadly the owner didn't treat me well just because I didn't know much about the burgers and just asked "what's Souvlaki?", and it didn't take more than a second before he said if you're unsure about your choice here is the menu, go and sit outside and then let us know what you want. The tone wasn't good, I don't want to judge people, maybe he had a bad day or was busy with something else but that's not the right way to treat a customer, thanks to the girl assistant who was there and she noticed the bad behaviour and helped me choose the right burger, I gave her the menu and said I don't know what are these and I'm not much familiar with the burgers, make something with veggies and stuff, that'll be fine. I felt so bad, and I'm sure the owner noticed that too. It's not always about the taste or the food quality, it's about the vibe, the way you attract new customers and how you welcome the new ones, and the people inside could tell that I have no idea what I'm ordering and that would just take less than a minute to explain, again thanks to the girl I got what I wanted, but the owner should rethink about the way he treats new customers. I should apologise saying these, but I just couldn't ignore the way I felt afterwards, it was humiliating having another three customers inside and saying that to me. I might come back later just to say hi and thank the girl but certainly not to...
Read moreI have walked past Andrew’s many times and it always has a queue of people outside either waiting for their orders or enjoying their orders so I needed to try the burgers to satisfy my curiosity. Well I can see why it is so popular! Their burgers are huge and full of flavor. They are wrapped perfectly so you can get every last bite without it becoming a giant pile of mush at the end. The chips are twice cooked, so you can’t really beat that and their potato cake is a great alternative to their chips or a snack before you get home with your gigantic burger. I have tried their Sanchez Mexican, Smokey Robinson and the Five O Hawaiian. All delicious in their own way. They are very popular and on one occasion they ran out of all meat patties so we had to cancel our order and it was only 7pm on a Tuesday evening and another time I ordered chicken and received beef instead. The bun was a bit stale on one occasion I ordered but that was the only time it was. They have an online ordering service which could do with an update as the time they ran of the patties, each time we reordered we had to put in our details again which was a little frustrating and their closing times are quite early and they close on Sunday which is usually peoples cheat days lol. All in all if you’re in need of a good burger fix would definitely recommend paying...
Read moreNothing special, thats what crossed my mind as i bit into Andrews signature hamburger, ive had better, and although this may be a classic in some ways, some things arent meant to get better with age, like fast food. They've never deviated far from the original recipe in 10 years, and I can understand why Andrews is slowly slipping from what once used to be a sought out hamburger many years ago, and is slowly being overshadowed by new and improved burger joints popping up every now and then, which appease our ever changing taste buds. No, fast food is not one of those things that can remain the same unchanged formula for very long, as we human being adapt our taste, seek out new and tantalizing flavours to excite out taste buds. and sadly Andrews seems to be a burger joint stuck in time, refusing to evolve with the rest of the worlds appetite, Im sure they'll still have their fans and a niche market for awhile longer, but eventually this place will forgotten and we will have moved on, because no one wants to get emotionally attached to a fast food place, except the owners who have a...
