Bakery 127 — Restaurant in Melbourne

Avoid. I started going here once a week with a friend for regular coffees. We went for about 3 weeks straight and noticed a few things until a major incident happened. Every week, the tables that had been used were left with plates and mugs on it from previous customers. My friend and I noticed this and timed how long it would take for them to remove the plates and cups from the tables. A whopping 2 and a half hours went by and they finally cleared the table, without wiping it down. I see this as poor restaurant cleanliness. The coffee and food is at average quality, deffinately way over priced for its quality. The major incident that made me write this review and also never to return again... After my friend and I had finished our coffees we decided to order some potato wedges as it was around lunchtime (1pm). When I went to collect a menu, the woman behind the counter told me to 'hurry and decide because the kitchen closes in a minute, so I better be quick smart'. Right infront of this woman, I put the menu back down and my friend and I left, letting her know we were taking our money to a friendlier café. My husband recently ordered a Vietnamese pork roll. They had ran out of their bread rolls, so instead they said they were going to make it with focaccia bread rolls. The lady at the counter opened a packet of the bread rolls and the whole thing fell on the floor. She picked up all the rolls and went into the kitchen. In less than a minute she came back with the same number of bread rolls, placed it in the bain marie, picked one from it and started to add the filling. It seemed like she came back with the bread rolls that fell on the floor. So my husband asked her to if she could open another new pack to make the roll. She wouldn’t reply. Instead, she picked another bread roll from the same lot and continued to make the roll. Finally, my husband asked her to stop and demanded for a refund. We are never going to buy anything from there anymore. Customers are not deserved to be served something...

Great coffee, really friendly staff, and reasonable prices.

My family stop in at least twice a week!

Whether it's all day breakfast, or focaccia, tasty treats like French Vanilla slice, or the tangy lemon tarts, Vietnamese rice paper rolls, pho, or pork rolls, there is literally something for everyone.

We've never had a bad meal here, whether it be a snack and coffee after shopping, or going in for lunch from the varied and comprehensive menu. There's no friendlier service in Pakenham.

Do not let the simple decor fool you, this is a must stop cafe.

(Original review 2yrs old) Have generally stopped in for afternoon tea, or a break while shopping - coffee and naughty-but-very-nice homemade french vanilla slice (SO good!) But plan to stop in for a proper lunch, as their menu looks amazing.
