So it was my wife’s birthday and we thought we’d give a new local place a try, big mistake. The place was completely empty. I thought meh “it’s a Wednesday night” no biggie, not many people out on a Wednesday night. As for ambiance, there was NONE.....It was completely silent.....no soft background music whatsoever. All we could hear was the sound of the drink fridge humming along! What makes that weird was that there are speakers mounted all over the restaurant. Is it too hard in this day and age to just Bluetooth a radio station at the least. Anywho onto the food... we ordered 3 American bbq beef burgers and a Aussie burger along with a serve of buffalo chicken and bacon cheese fries, oh and 3 $7.00 shakes ( yeah that’s right $7 for a shake ) Lemme start with the American bbq beef burgers.... my oldest son described it as a bunch of McDonald’s patties squished together and not cooked properly, my wife’s ( who’s birthday it was ) described it as “OK” And the third was undercooked which may have something to do with the fact there was one and only one person that was on shift by themselves!!!! Seriously who does that??? My daughters burger bun was cold and the house made tomato relish tasted like it was from a two week old open can of some sort of tomato paste. All in all the burgers were a huge disappointment. I feel sorry for the one girl that was on shift by herself, she had to cook all our meals then make 3 milkshakes and answer the phone and make Uber eat orders all by herself. My buffalo chicken and bacon cheese fries were not all bad but for $1 less than a burger you’d expect them to be a bit of alright at least. Now look the fries themselves were nice crispy on the outside and soft in the middle but the buffalo chicken was drier than a 2 month old dingo carcass left in the middle of the Aussie desert, it did have some spice but because it was so dry it was very hard to swallow, on the other hand the bacon wasn’t too bad but it certainly didn’t blow my skirt up. Onto those $7 milkshakes... yeah that’s right $7. A litre of milk some cheap ice cream and flavour and I’d make all three milkshakes we ordered for like a total of $9 so to pay $21 for three shakes was a little outrageous, also don’t even think about getting your drink with your meal cause we had to wait till the lady was done making meals before she got started on shakes. Again if there was more than one person on shift that would have been nice. Maybe we would have heard more than ourselves talking or the hum of the drink fridge. All in all a very disappointing visit and we won’t be back again. I don’t see this place being open very long if it stays the way it is. There’s so much opportunity for this to be an amazing place but it’s just not there yet. Fingers crossed someone take notice and fixes it up before...
Read morethought we would try the "new" burger place in Pakenham and to say i was beyond disappointed would be an understatement! we order $47 worth of food. we got the 'house bbq pork ribs' and they were FROZEN! called straight away to tell them and i demanded a refund which he accepted he apologised explaining his "main" chef was unwell and a stand in chef was in🤷♀️🤦♀️🤬! We also got 2 burgers x1 'aussie' & x1 'mushroom' and in the middle of both burgers they were that RAW it was purple, pretty much bleeding! i called THE 2nd time round and told him at how disgusted i was that the burgers were just as bad as the FROZEN ribs!! i told him i was bringing the food back in and wanted the whole $47 refund. i get there 10 mins later and told him to feel and look at the food, he then called his 'chef' to come look and he felt the ribs and looked at his boss and said yes there frozen, i then told him to look at the burger in which he refused and then started making excuses and said how he had x1 table booked and said he got a order of 10 burgers and that he must of not realised with my meal that it was still frozen. He then went on to continue saying the table that was booked had ordered ribs and they were all fine & in all seriousness i was speechless! seriously if you cant take the heat of 10 burgers and 1 phone order then you should have practised more before opening a business in a such fast...
Read moreDecided I'd try something new and give local 'less popular' shops a chance tonight, big mistake. I was very excited to try the crispy chicken burger, now I want you to go on google and google a crispy chicken burger before reading the rest. I received my burger and just stared at it for 2 minutes confused if there may have been a mistake. I then called out to the staff who were all in the back chatting. I mean how hard is it to have basic customer service. After waiting about 5 minutes I went into plain sight of the kitchen and showed the lady the burger. She couldn't see anything wrong with the chicken. She decided to replace it (how lovely), but little did I know what she was replacing it with was a dry beef burger with 500g of pepper, cheap cheese and probably the worst tasting onions, I think Shrek would even vomit. Usually my hungry would ignore the presence of the staff and the shop itself. It smells like when you enter a mouldy house and I could get better customer service from Coles self selves machine. Now we must put our hands together and pray I don't get food poisoning. If my review was not obvious, do not recommend this to any one, even your puppy dog would cry from...
