Decent venue and staff but overall disappointed.

Advertised as the place to watch football but firstly we had to specifically ask for the screen to be turned over for it and there was no audio commentary. Just the house music playing, so not really a football atmosphere. Advertised for $5 pints of Furphy until 10pm but the venue started closing at about 9:30pm? Nobody even announced a last call. There is nothing in your advertising to say "until 10pm OR until bar closes if earlier". So the advert gives the impression you are open no matter how many people are or aren't in the venue. There's a small "T's and C's apply" message but honestly if you think it's reasonable that patrons should download a lengthy PDF to read prior to visiting ANY bar, you're living in cuckoo land. How is it not reasonable to have that particular expectation set up front explicitly without leaving it to interpretation anyway?

The game was still set to continue after 10pm as well so with the venue closing we needed to relocate to another venue. How can you advertise as a place to watch the game then expect patrons to leave before it finishes? The only saving grace was that our team was crushing it and the result was beyond a doubt but that's not really the point.

Staff were friendly enough and probably wanted to go home early but again that's besides the point. Ironically because people were ordering cocktails and there was generally only one staff member manning the bar (when you were still serving) there was often a decent queue forming to buy drinks. Even for us that just wanted a simpler drinks order. I didn't check if the $5 pint was available on the QR code though so if it was then that is on me not to have checked. Might have been helpful if staff could have mentioned the QR code (if the offer was available through QR that is, if not then it's a moot point). The Furphy keg also ran out/wasn't working so staff were kind enough to offer us Furphy Crisp. No complaints from us about that but I can't really vouch for other punters who might not like FC and was just another thing to add to the overall problems encountered.

Overall, again, you advertised as the place to watch the football and take our money but delivered a thoroughly underwhelming experience. I get that it's a Thursday night but you were also taking bookings for the bottomless footy fest so again there was absolutely nothing to say that we should have expected it to be any different (because why would you advertise for that then expect people to leave before it finishes?).

If it's going to be an inferior/limited experience just because it's on a Thursday evening (which is what I'm assuming is the reason as I can't think of anything else) then please don't advertise it at all in future.

Appreciate any changes you can make for future punters not to have the same...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Ballers Clubhouse in Carlton, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best spots I’ve found in the area! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the vibe – it’s the perfect blend of sleek, modern design and laid-back comfort. Whether you're coming for a casual hangout, a special event, or just looking for something fun and different, this place has it all.

The atmosphere is electric but not overwhelming, and the staff is top-notch – friendly, attentive, and clearly dedicated to making your experience unforgettable. I especially want to shout out the bar supervisor, who truly stands out. She runs the show like a pro—quick, efficient, and always with a smile. Whether you're asking for a recommendation, customizing a drink, or just enjoying the atmosphere, she makes sure everything runs smoothly and that you feel taken care of. It’s clear she knows her stuff and genuinely enjoys her work, which makes all the difference in creating a welcoming vibe.

The menu is packed with delicious options, and everything I tried was bursting with flavor. It’s clear that they put a lot of thought and care into their offerings, and I can’t wait to go back and try even more.

One of the coolest features of Ballers Clubhouse is the ball pit – yes, you read that right! It’s not every day you get to take a break from the usual and dive into a giant pit of colorful balls. It’s the perfect spot to let loose and have some fun, whether you're with friends or just want to embrace your inner child. It adds such a unique and playful element to the space that really sets it apart from anything else around.

But that’s not all – there’s also a fantastic shuffleboard setup that makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. It’s a great way to unwind with friends, get competitive, or just have a laugh. Whether you’re a shuffleboard pro or a total beginner, it’s an awesome way to spend some time while enjoying the laid-back vibe of the place.

And of course, don’t forget the darts! The darts area is top-notch, with everything you need for a fun and competitive game. It’s perfect for those looking to challenge their friends or meet new people who are up for a friendly match.

What really ties everything together is the attention to detail in the space – from the chic décor to the comfortable seating, you’ll feel right at home. They also have an excellent selection of drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

Whether you're a local or just visiting, Ballers Clubhouse is a must-try. I'm already planning my next visit, especially to dive back into that epic ball pit, hit some darts, and maybe even a round of shuffleboard! Highly recommend Ballers Clubhouse Carlton if you’re looking for great food, fantastic drinks, and a fun,...

Great pub to do cool activities, shuffle board and darts being our favourite. The Manager was nice and tried to be very accommodating and explained different games well. When we arrived the power had been out so we couldn't order food or play games, we decided to go to Lygon St (just around the corner, walking distance) for dinner and come back. When we came back, again we couldn't play any games and the girl couldn't tell us how long until we could, and help us to know we had been placed in a queue to play, she just said to have a drink and come back and see. I really would like to see this system improved maybe a buzzer system given to us to know when it was our turn. We couldn't play anything upstairs as they had a private function on, so we couldn't play ball pit ping pong. There was only 1 billiard table downstairs so we didnt get to play that. We had a drink, only 1 barman on a Sat night and making cocktails so there was a bit of await. I went back to see if we could play shuffe board as 2 were empty, she said no she had others ahead of us first. I went back 15 mins later and spoke to Manager saying shuffle board was still free and he said we could play. The different games for shuffle board were really fun, we paid for 1/2hr, next time we will pay for an hour but since we had dinner in Lygon St we had smashed our finances for the night. I told the Manager being short we found it hard to get puc's back between each turn and would be great to have a stick to use. We also said it was slippery where you stand for shuffle board with sand on floor, he said there should be a mat there and went and got one but didn't put mat on table next to us. I'd suggest they make sure these are put out before people play so no accidents happen. The different darts games were great too, again next time we would pay for 1hr as 1/2hr goes too quick. Great venue just needs to have better organisation and maybe do all bookings online with time slots to keep too and no option on games to keep playing unless no bookings afterwards.

We booked this place for a fun night out, and it honestly exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and well-organized. The booking process was easy, and they had everything ready for us when we got there. The vibe was perfect—laid-back, welcoming, and buzzing with just the right amount of energy. The dartboards were high-quality and spaced out well so we had plenty of room to play comfortably. The shuffleboard tables were just as impressive—well maintained and super fun. What really made the night was the friendly and attentive staff. They gave us a quick run-through of the games, made sure we had what we needed, and kept the good vibes going without hovering. The drinks were great and the atmosphere made it easy to settle in and enjoy ourselves for hours. Whether you’re into the games or just want a cool spot to hang out, this place is a winner. Highly recommend booking ahead for groups, date nights, or just something different with friends. We’ll definitely be coming back! Thanks for having us ❤️
