First time visitor to Bossa Nova - was looking to quell my cravings for Brazilian food. I live in Brazil for 6 months of the year so when I'm back in Oz I always seek out Brazilian restaurants. I loved the passion that the owner displays when she's explaining Brazilian food and the menu to customers. The food was amazing it had so many Brazilian staples - just felt as if I was back in Brazil. I had the bolinho de bacalhau, feijoada, brigadeiro and beijinho. They've also got Brazilian beer. The staff were incredible, so attentive and loved the atmosphere and hearing Portuguese spoken so freely again - obviously it's very popular with local Brazilians. I actually made a reservation online - easy process and would recommend doing so as it gets rather busy, especially if you have a few in your group. Would highly recommend to anyone who is either craving Brazilian food or to anyone who hasn't tried Brazilian food. Will definitely come back next time I'm in Melbourne.

Just the best night at Bossa Nova!! Soft launch for the new Friday and Saturday night opening and night menu. Just amazing. Everything about the night was just superb. Gabi and the entire team at Bossa Nova were so friendly, customer focused and dedicated to quality service. We were seated inside near the kitchen action ... and my wife commented on how good the female chefs were working together on their creative art and apparently really enjoying themselves. We started with a plate of 5 small Coxinha's - just perfect. Then followed with "The Traditional Picanha Platter" with "Grilled Oak Lettuce" and "Batata Chips". The steak was superb and cooked to perfection for my wife who is a little fussy when it comes to steak. If you haven't tried Grilled lettuce its a must!! Gabi recommended a bottle of Miolo, Cuvée Giuseppe Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon 2020. A beautiful wine for a super evening. Cant wait for the follow-up visit.

📍@bossanova_cafe, Carlton Bossa Nova Café is the OG cafe in Melbourne, they opened back in 2019 and are now under new management with some brand new additions to their Brazilian menu 🇧🇷 We visited them for brunch to try the food and meet the new owners, and had a great experience starting with their single origin Brazilian coffee that is made by @codeblackcoffee - the dulce the leche latte is perfect if you want something a little sweet, while the orange juice with coffee is very refreshing 😎 For their brunch food, we definitely recommend ordering the creamy poached eggs made with homemade requeijão and the caipira sandwich made with @brazilian_grillbbq delicious toscana sausage 😋 They also sell many Brazilian products at the cafe like our favourite Brazilian bolo de rolo by @sugarloaf_bakehouse 😍 What we ordered: 🥧 Empada de Palmito $12 🥪 Caipira Sandwich $17 🥚 Creamy Poached Eggs $18 ☕️ Dulce De Leche $4.7 🍊 Coffee Bliss $9

My girlfriend ordered a Feijoada for me yesterday via Uber Eats and I thought the portion was way too small, for this reason we wrote a feedback saying that it was not worth the price. The restaurant answered, in portuguese, a response saying that they did not agree with what was said and that the feijoada had almost half a kilo, and that they believed the price is 100% aligned with what is being served. Now let me tell ya, previous to ordering I had other 2 friends telling me that the portion there was small, after I ordered, other 2 said the same thing. I have been to the restaurant before and the staff was extremely friendly and I do think the food is good. But, I believe accepting feedback is important in a Business, I have a Business myself, and don't think the answer given by the restaurant was appropriate. Whatever they say, I will still continue to think the portion is small, I'm a small girl and It wasn't enough for me. Not worth the price! Maybe a dine in experience would be different, but for delivery, not worth it.

I'm only writing this review on google because I still can't believe...
