Average food and below average service. I ordered a takeaway stir fried flat rice noodles with beef. The waitress informed me that it would take 10 minutes. I was the only customer there. I realised after 10 minutes of waiting that they were laying dishes out for their night delivery drivers. They proceeded to focus on the food for their 4 drivers first. After which it took 15 minutes of waiting time before their staff members were served. The 4 drivers arrived and started eating. It was then the waitress looked at me and suddenly remembered my order. She had only informed the chef about my order then - and the chef took 5 minutes to put it together. My concern is, being the one only customer in the store, it shouldn't have taken 20 minutes to receive this order. When I got the takeaway order back home, I discovered half an onion was laid on top as garnish. There were a few thin strands of carrot and chives scattered throughout the dish, but amongst the noodles was the other half of onion strewn through the box. At the bottom of the box in one corner was a heap of bean shoots. The dish was not put together very well nor stir fried thoroughly to be evenly distributed in flavour and cooking time. The rice noodles themselves were nicely fried, but the excessive onion used to cover the lack of other vegetables, was a great disappointment. There was also no apology or recognition of the inconvenience in waiting time on the food. I didn't feel valued or appreciated as a customer. I would class this as very average street...
Read moreOur favourite local Chinese takeaway! 🤩Have been getting takeaway from here for about two years. A $90 order of 7 dishes (cooking rice at home) gives us enough for 4-6 meals! Which makes it very affordable.
It’s fresh, delicious and well made with whole ingredients and lots of flavour. For comparison, we have also tried Wang Wang Dumpling House (was ok) and I ❤️Dumplings (made us both feel really ill and was cheaply made).
Ben Ben Dumpling House is hands down our favourite! 😋 Our most loved dishes are the veggie spring rolls, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, steamed spinach mushroom and chive dumplings, fried pork and prawn dumplings, sweet and sour chicken, wontons in chilli oil and BBQ pork buns.
My only criticism is the amount of plastic used for packaging. If it was all recycled or compostable my dreams would truly have come true. And I’d be happy to pay the extra cost for that.
Oh one other thing, sometimes they get SO busy you call and it just rings out. When that happens just turn up and order in person. They...
Read moreI ordered through Eatnow. The delivery in itself was incorrect PLUS certain items received also contained ingredients not specified on the menu - making the order inedible for my sister with allergies.
When we called to find a viable solution, as what we had received wasn't what we'd ordered - they were hostile, rigid, arrogant and unhelpful. We were told that it wasn't their problem! To take it up with Eatnow.
After speaking to Eatnow, they also attempted to engage Ben Ben Dumplings to rectify the situation, they asked the restaurant to remedy the Order, or provide a refund... Ben Ben Dumplings refused to do either. I can only imagine out of pride.
I subsequently received an Eatnow coupon instead, though they were at no fault of their own.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT.
Not because they made a mistake with the Order, but because they refused to acknowledge or deal with the...
