They say for everything great, you have to pay the price. It's certainly true for Betty's Burger: excellent food, but only if you can tolerate some insults, a little bit of racism, and a whole lot of attitude from the staff.
Just yesterday, my two young kids and I went to Betty's Burger at Fountain Gate. We paid for the food and were given the beeper. All of us were excited after a long day. When the beeper went off, we went to get our food, only to find it was the wrong order. The server insisted it was what we ordered and treated us condescendingly, as if we didn't know what we paid for. It turns out it was indeed the wrong order. While trying to fix it, the server snapped at us because she was now working on someone else's order. When I say snapped, I mean really snapped.
After telling them it was the wrong order, we discovered they had used the same beeper for two orders. You'd think this would make them a bit apologetic, but you'd be wrong. They completely ignored us and told us to go back and wait for the beeper to go off again. When collecting the order, I asked the lady's name to make a complaint. She responded with the same attitude. Another staff member even jumped in the middle of the conversation, trying to intimidate us, after the conversation ended, they yelled, "I am sick of these people."
What should have been a fun time for my kids turned into a nightmare. Instead of being happy to be there, they were terrified. This was our last visit to Betty's Burger. The food might be good, but we can't subject ourselves to insults and bullying behavior. If you want to go to Betty's next time, just leave your fun and self-esteem...

Even though the wait was long after reading all these exceptional reviews we thought it would be worth the wait. After asking a staff member if the food was ready was only when the buzzer went off. The staff member was really nice and advised that he will grab the food for us. Which I thought at that point the service here is exceptional. The food arrived and I had one chip and have to agree with others who have mentioned how crispy the chips are. However when my husband picked up his burger he said his felt cold. So I picked up mine and the bacon literally felt like it had come out of the fridge and the meat patty also felt cold. We were left extremely disappointed. After such a long wait and then to get cold burgers when we have had a few people tell us how great the place is and after looking at these reviews we must have been very unlucky. Go on and said it hasnt been picked up, first of all - There's no POS system that is not connected in your EFTPOS device, Chelsea. I have said we have waited ENOUGH and refuse a refund. She goes on and talk to her team if they want to "make it". Nobody said No but she pushed on saying they're closing. Not a good business move right there. Refund is what most people will want BUT YOU WASTED OUR TIME THAT YOU WONT COMPENSATE WITH. We waited for nothing. I will advice for people not go here as they all want easy way out on things.
