I am placing my original review and the owner’s reply below. But first, let me make it clear: because of your rude and unprofessional response, I will be sharing my honest experience and your attitude across different social media platforms.

After seeing the owner’s reply to my review, I am honestly furious. First of all, no staff ever came to our table to ask if everything was ok. If you insist otherwise, then please tell me which staff member supposedly did this – I am more than willing to confront it face to face. On the day we visited, staff were only busy serving food, and sometimes we even had to fetch our own napkins and plates. That is the reality. Secondly, suggesting that my review is unfair just because other people left 5-star reviews is unreasonable. We were a group of 5–6 people, and all of us agreed that both the food and drinks were bad. Reviews are subjective, and I have every right to leave my honest opinion without being accused of malicious intent. Thirdly, I don’t believe I must tell the staff on the spot that the food tastes bad. If it were a hygiene issue, I would have raised it immediately. But for taste, I should not have to interrupt my gathering with friends. That doesn’t take away my right to share honest feedback afterwards. Finally, after reading your reply, I’m extremely disappointed and angry. I don’t know if you assume I’m some kind of competitor, but I’m just an ordinary student who came with friends after seeing recommendations online. The reality is: your food only looks good in photos, the taste is really poor, and your attitude towards criticism is even worse. I will do my best to let others know just how bad both the food and the service attitude are here. REPEAT again: I will be sharing my honest experience and your attitude across different social...

BKK Lab is an experience. The food is unique and the staffs are very attentive.

It's not often that you can go into a restaurant these days and dive into the food hands first.

Oysters with finger lime chilli was a great hit. So much flavour and the oysters were surprisingly fresh!

Our highlight for the night though was definitely the tuna tartare larb. Also another fresh banged with so much flavour, especially if you love that Thai larb flavour!

We tried the slow pork springrolls and thought it was okay, I think the flavour profile is right. Just a few tweaks needed so that it's a little bit more moist. But that's a personal preference. You can see it comes with sweet chilli sauce too.

We also ordered the prawn betel and bkk calamari special.

Another highlight was the eggplant dip with pork rinds. This one was very unique and refreshing served with some veggies and mint. It has a spicy kick to it so watch out! Definitely recommend it.

The chicken wings were super crispy and has a very chilli notes which just adds to the overall experience. I love it.

We ended with a main after ordering a few small entrees. Pad see ew noodles had just the right amount of bounce and taste, not drenched in sauce. Very very balanced.

Definitely recommend giving the dinner menu a go if you're in the...

✨ Warm & Cozy Thai Cafe ✨

Pastel orange tones, warm lighting with lush green indoor plants large and tabletop size. It feels like forever since I’ve been this wow’d by the interior of a cafe! 🤩

We had the most amazing and unique brunch spread.

🥭 Mango Sticky Rice Pancake w/ Coconut Ice Cream $22 🥓 Fried Eggs, Crispy Bacon & Maple Syrup Pancake $20 🍚 Brunch Congee w/ Crispy Pork Belly $22 🦐 Prawns Tom Yum Roll $19 ☕️ Tiramisu Coffee $8.5 🍵 Matcha Tiramisu $9

Both pancakes were perfectly executed, light and fluffy, it did not collapse within itself over the time we took taking videos. The dough had a sweet and salty flavour, which complemented so well! Mango was juicy, not too ripe and more sour than sweet. Whilst the sticky rice did get hard, the other sides like bacon was soft and chewy, not dry and fried eggs were mostly cooked to the yolk.

The congee was silky smooth and velvety, savoury sweet flavours. The crispy pork belly was tender yet retained some crisp.

The roll was better than I expected. Roll was fluffy with toasted sides, salad provided a refreshing crunch and prawns were bouncy. Spicy mayo really completed the dish.

Loved both the tiramisu drinks. Matcha flavour was good standard, not...
