The best ‘Adult Daycare’ in town! Brick Lane Shed was one the very first places I came to in Melbournes iconic Queen Victoria Markets. We were greeted by the amazing Ben - who is charismatic, hilarious, accomodating, always up for a chat and well versed in his knowledge of beers. He was so great with the kids - even played a round of darts with them - which quickly cemented him into a family fan favourite and the main reason we became regulars at this much loved spot. ❤️ If you’re ever in the area, I assure you that this is the place you’ll want to stop into. This a cool little chilled out spot to sip on a one love pale ale (my personal favourite), while enjoying the bricklane chicken (it is really good!), in the sun and listening to tunes (or watching sports) while the family disappear to spend their money. Added bonus - if the family want to eat different things - you can also bring in your own food from the markets or deli to the shed to enjoy. Win win! Since getting to know the team at bricklane - I was pleasantly surprised that they are all equally wonderful. I timed it perfectly with Darren the perfect barman / host with good character (his welcoming smile is free) & excellent customer service. Reading some of the poor reviews the owners need to take care on who they employ as front of house people! You need more people like Darren!

What a joy!!

A very impromptu stop into The Shed by Bricklane at the Queen Vic market saw us meet our host and new friend, Atlas, and what a wonderful reception!!

Friendly cheery and informative he made us feel instantly welcome and comfortable to ask all the silly questions, and it was a pleasure to hear his engagement with the other guests. Oh, and the beer was amazing. If you’re ever at the Queen Vic, you must stop in!!
