Jul2022 Wed 4:45pm to queue for 5pm opening but may be no queue until 6pm. This time we ordered 4 set menu $190 (better quality meat), cheesy corn and 3 rice plus drinks fulfilled for 3 people (2 meat lovers and 1 semi veg). Mar2022 The Thursday make up late birthday dinner from the real bad Tuesday birthday Tony's pie dinner. This place was happened to be the right choice for the midweek Melbourne Money😃. I read the some high scored Korean restaurants and checked the true reviews carefully this time. I love the no booking system and just queue on the line. The customer service is excellent. All staff is attentive and very kind to cook for us the top quality marble beef☺️ Scotch fillet was the most tender and excellent taste. The fresh pork belly was cooked perfect😋 The side dishes were also delicious. It wasn't overly hot or vinegary and even I am not Kimchi fun, I enjoyed having all of them. The red Kimchi had some sweetness with the seasoning. Korean pasta had sultana & sweet corn in it and very mild mayo seasoning. $90 for the set menu for 2 and my son was enjoying cheesy corn dish with 2 mixed rice while I was enjoying awesome beef rice noodles🍜 Before get to cook the bottom dish of BBQ set menu, we had quite full tummy😋 The half of customers were Korean and I would say this restaurant is authentic quality genuine Korean cuisine. The dishes were enough for 2 skinny ladies or 1 big guy. (Photo: White plates) Set of 4 is enough for 4 teen boys or 2 hungry men (Photo: wooden plate) Definitely recommended👍

I used to love to come here but for now maybe longer As we came bit earlier than my friend so im happy to wait for it, but then when they about to get in with us, staffs still not allow us to get in cause still not enough ppl - fine. Before we sat down they keep remind us 3 times in the row about the limited time (90mins for this ala carte - but still understand cause they busy) Everything is so little at the begining, as then we need to keep asking them for refilled at all the time (but seem like they all busy and run around) Then we ordered 1st round and not enough so we ordered 2nd round, then things happen. They just brang out more soft drinks and soup only, meanwhile we ordered lots more of meat. So we kindly asking for help from staffs. But turn out she not happy when we tried to ask for help us to find where are our food orders. She said that all you guy ordered and tried to give us a look like we dont have enough money to eat more, so leave now 😐. Finial we end up with about 600$ bills so i dont know what she thinking about it. On top of that, at about 7pm service time (most busiest time) but they drank out some of drinks 😑 (coke and asahi beer) well...😑😑 Also they threw the bills on out table with remind our session time is about to end another time and time 🤣. I know it business but sometimes if not in busy time do not need to keep remind everyone, every table about time rushing. This ala carte not a buffet anyway 🤣🤣🤣

Truly without a doubt one of the better KBBQ I've been to. Let's get into it: Service despite being outside was exceptional. Staffs were super attentive, and realised our needs as of they read our minds. The meat was quality and you can tell it was quality. We bought the happiness set, and was extremely delighted. I would suggest that they have two complimentary rice with the set - you have to add on. We also got the fried tteokbokki, albeit too sweet to our liking. The cold noodles was a blessing, came with two sauce bottles, but no sauce was needed. It was exceptional. One downside is that it's walk in only and if you wanted to dine in, and you weren't there during opening - expect to wait in line. Fortunately for us, being outside was a bonus. No stuffiness, no smoke in your face. Great breeze with fresh air. If you come here, I highly recommend the happiness set, if more than 2 people, than there's other sets to reflect that. Generally speaking, we've come to see that KBBQ is about $50~ odd per head. So I'd say this is a bit more on the expenny side, roughly $70 per head. I would definitely come again. The experience and quality was unreal. Highly recommend!! P.s the sides were amazing, kimchi was on point and so were the sweet potatoes!!

Dear Mansae Team,

I’d like to share some feedback regarding a disappointing experience at your restaurant during our visit around 7 PM on 14/07/25. While we understand mistakes can happen on both sides, the way the situation was handled left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.

Reception at Arrival We had mistakenly made a booking at the wrong outlet, our error, which we openly acknowledged. However, the response from the staff, possibly the manager, came across as condescending. The tone felt more like, “How did you mess this up?” than one of understanding. A little empathy would have gone a long way in that moment.

Hygiene Incident with Cross-Contamination A serious concern arose when the staff member assigned to cook at our table placed raw meat tongs directly onto a cooked pancake that we were about to eat. When we politely pointed it out and said we no longer wanted the dish, there was no apology. The cook took it back silently to the kitchen. Strangely, she returned a few minutes later saying that a new pancake was already being made, leaving us with no real choice but to accept it. The lack of clear communication and disregard for our concerns was frustrating, especially considering the hygiene issue.

Noticeable Decline in Service Quality After this incident, the atmosphere shifted. While our water requests were met, it was done in a visibly curt manner in a way where the bottle was placed abruptly on the table. Most notably, the staff member assigned to cook for us never returned after the pancake issue, leaving us to manage everything on our own, which was not what we expected from a restaurant that offers table-side cooking service.

We were genuinely looking forward to this dinner and brought guests along with us. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and courtesy we experienced left us disappointed and hesitant to return.

We hope this feedback is taken constructively to improve both service and communication...

The WORST experience ever!

I had been here once before and thought the food was pretty good, so I suggested it for our farewell dinner. There were five of us, and we arrived at 5 PM. As soon as we got there, we were told that we had a 90-minute time limit, starting the moment we sat down. Fair enough. Since one of our friends was still on the way, we chose to wait outside, even though the restaurant was completely empty at the time. I’ve never been told I couldn’t wait inside before, but we didn’t want to cause any trouble.

It was raining and freezing, and our friend was almost there, so we finally decided to go in and start ordering. The second I sat down, the waitress looked straight at me and said, "Time starts now." That already made us feel pressured. We placed our order, cooked our food, ate dessert, and tried to have a bit of conversation—after all, this was a farewell dinner before one of us moved overseas. We were already eating as fast as we could, but the whole time, it felt like we were being rushed.

Before we even hit the 90-minute limit, we went to grab dessert, and the same waitress came over to remind us about the time again. At that point, we just started shoveling the food into our mouths, trying to finish as fast as possible. And as we were about to leave—right at the 90-minute mark—they started flashing the lights above our table non-stop! It was honestly ridiculous. We already knew the time was up; we didn’t need to be reminded a hundred times.

We were polite the entire time, didn’t overstay, and just wanted to enjoy our meal while catching up. But the service was rude and unwelcoming, and the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. I deeply regret choosing this place for our farewell dinner. Never coming back, and definitely not...
