We took the kids to see the Coldplay concert at Marvel Stadium and most of the hotels or apartments in the CBD were close to double the price for the beds we needed.
We stayed for 2 nights
We booked 2 rooms and we stayed on the 3rd floor with the rooms right next to each other.
We didn't hear any noise from our noisy children neighbours or any other rooms except for when walking past their doors in the passage.
The beds were amazing and I even took the pillow cases off to find out what brand the pillows were so I can get some for home. We had the best sleeps
The rooms were clean and fresh and modern and our room had a beautiful view of the city. I think our room was either 306 0r 305 The Bathrooms had great water pressure and were spacious and very clean. All 3 staff over the time we stayed were friendly and welcoming.
We were able to park our car at the front of the building Friday night from around 5pm and only had to move it to the Queen Vic undercover park around 8am the next morning for over night parking that I think was around $45 for 24 hours.
There was no breakfast avalable but I was able to walk through the Queen Vic Market and collect a tray of fruit for the family to feast on before we had brunch.
We caught and Uber on a view occasions and used the free tram network surround the Market which we we able to get within a 5 minute walk of our hotel at midnight Saturday.
I have never stayed in this part of Melbourne and it was perfect and we look forward to staying in this Bestwestern again.
Thanks...
Read moreVery clean and well equipped hotel. Location just off main city and it was good overall value. I think it is quite a new hotel. Very close to public transport. Two things to note. As the first reviewer notes the hotel is somewhat soulless with very bland colours and a tiny heartless seating area. Secondly they do not have a 24 hour desk. My plane arrived late and I turned up with literally no idea as to what to do to get the key. I think there needs to be increased clarity on this. I did finally get through to someone on the phone after a guest let me into the main office. On my exit four days later a receptionist was hounding me for my passport, but sadly I literally had to go or I would have missed my flight. A bit more clarity on getting key when no one on desk and a warmer general seating area would make this even better. Certainly not bad though and the room itself was very nice with fantastic views...
Read moreThis place exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend, it was close to the free zone 1 tram that goes to CBD. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, and the staff were so kind! Esp Patrick, he made sure I had what I needed in my room, even helping me to get a sim ejector for my phone to put my Australian SIM card in. Brought extra blankets and a space heater, room was warm enough I just didn’t adjust to the weather and needed extra heat while the heat would kick start again. Was very helpful in answering all my questions and called one evening to make sure I was warm enough. The rooms were clean and updated, as one person I had enough space and didn’t mind that the rooms were small. As a light sleeper I appreciated how quiet it was too, didn’t hear any street sounds or my neighbors. Room was very clean and updated, I honestly had a great stay and so glad I booked here. I would definitely book...
