Brown Bagel is in prime location for city goers and workers alike, looking for a quick and warm bite to eat. The decor is modern and has an ample amount of lighting The menus are incredibly easy to read and to figure out what you would like with lots of fantastic options Atmosphere: Modern white interior and the floors + surfaces were spotless (I came after the rush I believe) Service: Extremely friendly staff who let off a joyful and happy to be there mood, also was very well staffed with 4 people there in the small shop. However seemed to be in a slight rush to take the order. Taste: I’ll be honest, I haven’t enjoyed a bagel up until now, I’ve had them from cafe’s, breakfast bars at hotels, office meetings and more. But i thought id try again as whoa, a place that specialises in bagels?!?! It must be good then. I chose an onion bagel with cream cheese and chive. boy, the cream cheese was indeed creamy, the onion flavour on the bread was really nice and the lil crisps of onion were jam packed with flavour Texture: MAN this bread was fluffy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Incorporated with the not too strong cream cheese it was a cold winters day dream. Every bite you could feel the fluffy yet dense bagel pull apart like bread fresh out of the oven. Price: This bagel with spread was $7.90, which i find completely reasonable. Rent is expensive and so are staff so i am more than happy to pay this. $9 would be a fair going rate I believe. However something worth mentioning is the other bagels on the menu, If you wanted a loaded bagel. It would have cost you 18.90 which is absolutely a stretch. At that price you are getting closer to a full meal with a side at a cafe. Personally i would never order a loaded bagel as it’s priced that high and i believe that is what turning other customers away to other cafes down the alleyway. Something i feel is worth mentioning is that the seats are really not suited for anyone who is probably over 5’5? I sat down to eat and my legs were a bit more than cramped. (hitting the top of the table)

🥯 my fav lunch break bagels 🏠: @brownbagels 📍: Hardware Lane, CBD 📝: Tiny cafe and bagelry that makes the best ever bagels in Melbourne CBD. I was addicted to it and went there everyday for lunch every weekday for a whole month. It’s the perfect place for you to drop by if you work in the city and is looking for something fast, easy, and most importantly, delicious to fuel you up for the rest of the day. ❤️: Hands down to their freshly baked bagels that beats any that I’ve tried. My favourite bagel here would be the Roast Chicken—yes I’m basic as hell. The filling is so stuffed yet ties so well together, making every you want to savour every bite for as long as you can. If you’re looking for something more indulgent, grab the 🌶️ Spicy Chicken or 🇰🇷🐮 Bulgogi Beef Bagel. LOVED IT 😍!

Our kind of favorite bagel every month. They’re friendly and also provided sufficient types of bagels to choose at site. Their bagels are not that rocky hard, you can choose the bagel you would love/prefer for your sandwich. Honestly I’m not a chicken lover but for me, their chicken was really really good. Eating them while it’s still warm was super comfy and homily-warm especially during this winter. 🥯 Roast Chicken with everything bagel Chives cream cheese, avocado, cucumber, tasty cheese, mayo rocket and onion ☕️ Mocha I heard people saying their blueberry cream cheese is good, I’m going to try that next time round. 😉

Brown Bagels is a popular hole-in-the-wall bagel shop located in Equitable Place in Melbourne's CBD. The small shop is easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but once you find it, you'll be glad you did. The bagels at Brown Bagels are made fresh daily and are hand-rolled and boiled before being baked to perfection. The menu features a range of classic and creative bagel sandwiches, with options for vegetarians and meat-lovers alike. One of the most popular sandwiches is the pastrami bagel with mustard and pickles, which is a delicious tribute to the classic New York deli sandwich. The smoked salmon bagel with cream cheese and capers is also a standout dish that's fresh, flavourful, and satisfying. The bagels themselves are top-notch, with a chewy texture and a slightly crispy crust. They're perfectly toasted and are the perfect vessel for the delicious fillings. The bagels are also available to purchase by themselves, so you can take them home and create your own sandwiches. The coffee at Brown Bagels is also excellent, with a smooth and rich flavor that complements the bagels perfectly. The baristas are friendly and knowledgeable, and are happy to make recommendations based on your preferences. The atmosphere at Brown Bagels is cozy and intimate, with a few bar stools available for seating inside the shop. However, most people choose to take their bagels to go and enjoy them in the nearby laneways or parks. Overall, Brown Bagels is a must-visit for bagel lovers in Melbourne. The bagels are some of the best you'll find in the city, and the friendly service and cozy atmosphere make it a great place to grab a quick...
