One good reason why we came to the city because we are watching Coldplay!! Yeah we waited for a year since we bought their tickets and today is the Day.
The other reason why we choose this Italian restaurant is because we wanna shop at H&M as it's right beside. So eat and then shop always sound like a good plan.
Ambience & Service [4]. We arrived 15 mins before the restaurant opens so we got to choose a cosy area to enjoy our lunch. It's a rustic setting and felt that you entered into an Italian alley, and perhaps why this place is decorated like these..
Let's talk service. I read through some reviewers who gave low rating and they seems to point to this restaurant staff - ignoring customers at the entrance, transparent meaning the staff don't seems to see customers right at their nose or simply rude. For us, and maybe we are The Only Customers cos we came first, so can we consider lucky not to be treated this way? Well throughout the dining experiences, we didn't have any issues with the staff. I asked if they have coffee cos I didn't see listed in the menu, and the staff (male) said yes they do have and few minutes later, my coffee came. So being early gets the most attention.
Food [4]. Ok food. Most important review especially when this is an Italian restaurant. One reviewer said their Gnocchi tasted bad but in the recommendation section, the same Gnocchi was mentioned. So, is good or bad?
We ordered Gnocchi Gorgonzola (well balance sauce), Pizza Prosciutto (took less than 10mins to wipe out), chicken Lazone (beautifully cooked chicken with the sauce) and Beef Ribs (tasty and abundant).
This restaurant may get crowded so recommended to reserve or be the first few (like us) to arrive. There is a main entrance (where the tram is) and you can also come from the other end.
We will be back again and let's see the four stars I gave can be promoted or a...

What we had:
Garlic bread with added mozzarella and three dips, Grilled Kebabs, Linguine Cartoccio, Paella, Lasagna, Warm chocolate brownie, Paradise Fizz mocktail, I’ll never lychee go mocktail
My personal favourites were the garlic bread with the cheese, grilled kebabs, paella, lasagna and definitely the brownie. And would of course highly recommend these delicacies.
Never tasted any paella this good, flavfup and packed with so much of mussels and they were of great quality. Whereas the lasagna was so comforting to eat and delicious. The grilled kebabs for me were truly sensational, the smokiness in it was just right, and the meat had a melt in the mouth effect, whereas the garlic bread is totally an irresistible indulgent that you can’t give it a miss.
The goeey texture of the brownie was again superb and so tasty. The drinks were absolutely refreshing and are a must try. The seafood spaghetti was nice but for me it kinda lacked flavours.
The service was prompt and attentive and the staff are all very helpful, friendly and welcoming, even though they remain busy of week nights or weekends, you will still have a great time here. The prices are very standard considering the great quality of food they serve here, also their portion sizes are...

During our visit to Ca De Vin Melbourne, we had a truly enjoyable dining experience that deserves five stars. Our group of four ordered three dishes to share — the Paella with seafood, chicken, and chorizo, the Roasted Pork Belly, and a Rocket Salad — and everything was excellent from start to finish.
The Paella was the highlight of the evening. Generously portioned, it came with a perfect balance of saffron rice, fresh seafood, tender chicken, and smoky chorizo. The flavors were rich yet not overwhelming, and it felt authentic while still approachable for our group.
The Roasted Pork Belly was equally impressive. Crispy skin, succulent meat, and a slightly sweet touch from caramelized green apples created a beautiful harmony of textures and flavors. It was a dish that really showcased the kitchen’s attention to detail.
To balance out the richness, we paired these with a Rocket Salad. The peppery rocket leaves, candied walnuts, and balsamic dressing provided freshness and contrast, making the meal feel light and complete.
Beyond the food, the ambiance of Ca’ Vini added to the experience — warm, cozy, and stylish, it’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger. Service was attentive and friendly, making us feel welcome and relaxed.
Overall, Ca’ Vini is a restaurant I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Melbourne. Whether you’re sharing plates with friends or enjoying a quiet evening, the combination of delicious food, inviting atmosphere, and great service makes this spot...
