Cafe on the Corner — Restaurant in Melbourne

Looked like a lovely cafe. I went in and ordered a sausage roll and a strong skinny chai to take away. Unfortunately, the lady who served me really didn’t pay attention and 10 minutes later I had a hot cup of full cream milk with a slight chai taste and no sausage roll. She couldn’t recall if she had even charged me for a sausage roll and I didn’t have tome to stand around to figure it out. As I was on a short lunch break I had to run quickly to find something else that was ready to eat. Very disappointing as what I could see of the food it actually...

We’ve been here a couple of times, and the service in particular has been hapless. The first time, our order was forgotten, the second time we were with friends and their order was given to someone else! It can’t be that hard to keep track of orders and table numbers in a small cafe can it?? Hospitality 101 - get a system in place for orders and you your customers will come back. We won’t be. PS food...

This cafe barely warrants two stars, the seats had crumbs and dog fur all over them, the hot chocolate had lumps of powder stuck to the bottom and the coffee machine was disgusting underneath and around (which I was sitting directly next to) even the milkshake (although tasting pleasant enough) was served in the same metal cup used to make it while other customers received nice...
