I moved to Melbourne in February and have been to Capri twice for their zucchini corn fritters. They were so delicious that I kept recommending them to my friends as a must-try. Now that I’m about to leave Melbourne, I wanted to have the fritters one last time. But when I got my food today, it was such a disappointment — the presentation was so bad and there was no feta cheese or corn kernels… (they even used to have pomegranate seeds before ), though they did add an extra poached egg. What made the fritters so good before was the variety of ingredients that complemented each other. I didn’t need another egg at the cost of losing all those flavors. I ended up paying nearly $30 for a plate that looked cheap and uninspiring. Even the halloumi was served not hot Really disappointing — I won’t be coming back again.

We had breakfast here on Sunday morning. They had constant stream of customers. Coffee was good, the food was nice and tasty. The hash browns were fresh and crispy. A bit of an issue during ordering, they missed that I asked for two of the Canadian pancakes, but quickly resolved the issue an I had mine before the rest of the table had finished, so excellent response when things don’t go right. I had a taste of the Egg and bacon roll, it was very good. My Canadian pancakes (3 pancakes with fried egg and bacon on top) was tasty, very nice bacon and the pancakes were soft, fluffy and delicious. Took the photos just after started so you can see the real deal. I would eat here again.

With inventive brunch dishes with an Asian twist, Capri is a definite must try. Think creamy truffle mushrooms paired with Chinese sausages on sourdough - a delicious mix of rich, bold and savory. The granola bowl is healthy, and bursting with bright flavours. The creme fraiche adds a touch of indulgence to it, and is balanced by the zesty flavours of the berries and compote. For a heartier meal, you can't go pass the truffle roasted chicken. Beautifully seasoned, and incredibly succulent and juicy. Paired this with a refreshing capers, lettuce and fennel salad, or the roasted potatoes, and you'll are set to go. Highly recommend that you give this place a go!

Capri is a lovely little break from the outside world, it's a charming, clean establishment that makes an extremely, extremely good croissant.

Mornings are packed with regulars, getting their breakfast for the day, and that number keeps going up as more and more people discover just how good the food is here.

The owner, a chef of clear talent and passion keeps striving to make the food better and better. He is clearly an artist in the kitchen. And when you ask him about how he makes the food, you can see the genuine love of his craft and enthusiasm to make wonderful things. Each time I come here the food keeps getting better, and it was good to begin with!

It's also worth pointing out that all the staff are kind and fun and relaxed. You can just feel that this is not just a place of good food, but of good healthy work culture, and that might even be why the food is so amazing.

It's become a regular place for me and my friends to eat, and most of the people I see here express the same sentiment. It's definitely a keeper.

Apparently before the new people took over, this was not a place of joy, but the quality of the food, the cooking, and the friendliness of the staff is wonderful. You should...

I’m really disappointed with my experience at Capri Cafe. I called twice to place a room dining order, but the line was busy, and my second call went unanswered. When I went down to order in person, the chef reacted rudely to my mention of the phone issues and challenged me to provide the number I called from, which I didn’t know since I had just moved in literally 5 min ago, It was ironic that he, the one getting angry over my critique, and yet keep on telling me i don't make any call and its my own fault i was hallucinating of actually calling the restaurant 🤣 ?? Unbelievable.. he also kept on grumbling throughout his cooking about how he always answers calls and how I should have reached him. How it was my own fault ….His inability to accept any feedback gracefully made the entire situation uncomfortable. It’s incredibly frustrating to encounter such poor customer service in a hospitality setting. I also did logged a report to the Sebel apartment, be careful in future in putting add of room dining in the room, as during holiday time it will be busy and i believe such incident will happens again… regardless i do aware Capri and Sebel are in...

Even giving this place one star is being generous. This cafe is so disorganised and has such poor customer service, I will never step foot in this place again. It took them over half an hour to even come and take our order and then our meals took another 45 minutes and they had forgotten my son's breakfast which took another ten minutes to arrive. I complained to the manager on duty who couldn't care less. This same manager then told off one of the waitresses in front of the whole cafe who then ended up in tears. So very unprofessional and unnecessary. She actually seemed to be the only waitress rushing around trying to serve. There were customers complaining left, right and centre the whole time we were there. Unfortunately, The Sebel Residences where we stayed have an arrangement with this cafe for their buffet breakfast. It reflects badly on them also even though they don't own this cafe. I can't believe that they would continue to have a business relationship with such an unprofessional place....
