We came here for Iftar (dinner during Ramadan). The night before I literally walked into the restaurant (because I called and nobody answered) and booked a table for 3, the guy took my details and confirmed my booking. When we arrived the next day the waiter, shockingly and so rudely said "You don't have a booking we can't sit you because its set menu" I said I made a reservation the night before, here, inside the restaurant. The waiter insisted that I didn't book because I didn't "pay a deposit" I said what deposit? The guy that took my reservation didnt say anything about this. He surprisingly continued to insist that I was wrong and said "No you didn't pay the deposit"..
I said, I called the restaurant, nobody answered. There is no information about this on your Instagram AND you don't have a website.
The waiters extremely poor and rude communication skills ruined the night as soon as we walked in, and if we weren't fasting I would have instantly left.
The restaurant is big and spacious, very bright lights. The dips were good, lots of range, but surprisingly the chicken on the nicely presented skews was actually semi-raw and un-edible (the red meat was fine). The skewers came out with a flame grilled presentation but disappointing was very cold for having sat in the kitchen for quiet a while.
Dessert was not fresh. The head chef was nice and friendly
Overall disappointed as Docklands really needs more places like this. But with current staff (the 2 main guys), Horrible! They need waiter-training otherwise the business will be shut down by end...
Read morequite expensive considering the underwhelming taste and portion sizes. It was disappointing to pay a premium price for a meal that didn't meet expectations. The lack of value for money detracted from the overall dining experience.
Additionally, the serving staff attempted to deceive us into spending more money. They employed various tactics to upsell and encourage additional orders, which felt manipulative and dishonest. Such practices not only undermine trust but also create an uncomfortable dining environment.
Furthermore, the banquet at Karizma seemed to be heavily skewed towards appetizers rather than offering a diverse selection of main courses with substantial meat options. This limited variety was unsatisfying for those seeking a heartier meal. It would have been preferable to have a more balanced menu that catered to different preferences and requirements.
Overall, my experience at Karizma was marred by the disappointment of overpriced and underwhelming food, along with the questionable tactics used by the serving staff to encourage additional spending. The lack of meat options and focus on appetizers further detracted from the dining experience. I would hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others looking for a satisfying and fairly...
Read moreI stumbled across this new restaurant whilst staying at docklands for my bday. Being new I had to try it! I am so thankful I did, honestly the best most authentic Lebanese food I have tried. Being Lebanese myself it’s so hard to find a restaurant that has the full authentic flavours with no short cuts! We got mixed grill over the fire, which was an awesome experience, succulent meat, very tender lamb and juicy chicken. The tabouli was well balanced with the perfect amount of lemon and the dips were just Yum! Beautiful young waitress was very attentive ensuring we are taken care of and satisfied. The waiter also had fantastic customer service, and the manager went out of his way to introduce himself, which was very lovely. You can tell they respect food and want you to enjoy it. I will 100% be returning with my family and recommending this place to...
