This place was amazing, it isn’t a big restaurant but it sure is cozy and very busy. We were a table of 12 from Geelong and straight away had were greeted with a friendly smile from our waitress who was so accomodating to have us all on the same table. A few of us ordered the Charlong cocktail, for those who love a sweet cocktail you will love this one. Two of us ordered the Mandarin Queen, wow one of the best sweet cocktail I have ever had. The food was chosen by the chef as the feed me but we were allowed to pick two mains. We had the crab on toast, the prawn betel, king prawn dumpling, lamb massaman, caramelised beef brisket, with an amazing nashi pear and apple slaw, pad se ew asparagus and then dessert was the Thai tea Ceylon tart and the wam roti apple pie, they also catered for one vegetarian and one celiac. Everyone raved about the food and the flavours in particular. I’m still thinking about everything I had and can not wait to go back and try everything else on thus amazing menu. The chef came out to thank us for coming all the way from Geelong to try her food she was absolutely humbled and was such a delight to deal with. Thankyou Charlong we loved it and will be back!!! ❤️ I only took one photo as then I was taken away by the amazing taste and didn’t want to waste one minute away from the flavours. The prawn betel was TO...
Read moreHad dinner with my wife on a weeknight. Cozy and quite packed - recommend booking in advance. The staff were very good and found us a corner table. We had some small plates, a main with sides and dessert. Highly recommend the Betel leaf prawn and the laughing tiger mini steak in the small plates. For the mains we tried the barramundi with some broccoli and rice. The cooking is excellent and the flavour profile brings together all the things we know and love about Thai cuisine. While there is a nod to the expected curry - the menu is quite varied and allows you the opportunity to taste the different flavours of thailand which are not normally available at your regular thai restaurants. The only let down was the dessert where the Thai tea ceylon tart was quite bland and did not quite stand up to scrutiny. Highly recommend going to this St Kilda thai restaurant - with friends and family and you will come away having had a very...
