Cones Icecream & Gelato — Restaurant in Melbourne

I am someone who is severely allergic to all nuts. I understand there may be cross contamination in the ice cream shop however I wanted to limit those possibilities. I asked for the lady to use a new ice cream container to avoid the cross contamination risk and she said “I can’t do it because there’s already a container in the window”. Fair enough, I then asked if she could use a new scooper and scoop from the front of the ice cream where it hasn’t been touched by any other scoopers and she said “I can’t scoop from the front” but never gave a reason why. This was terrible service as they do not regard nor take into account people with allergies. It’s disappointing that a simple action could not be taken. Never...

Absolutely the best ice cream/gelato in Melbourne. The bubblegum flavour is packed full of mini marshmallows and has my husband and I still insisting that get it every time we visit Hawthorn. Year after year we drive 50minutes to buy birthday cakes and enjoy special treats with our children here. Family owned business who make their product from scratch using quality ingredients...and you can taste the difference. Even Augustus can't compete with these peeps! They were closed once over the Christmas period and we tried another place on Glenferrie road...so disappointed.

Disappointing crepe... tasty but a bit gluggy. Bonus icecream tho, so cheap at all up $9. Ferrero ice cream/gelato(??) was really nice. Weird that articles on the wall talk about why gelato is different than ice cream... yet the menu on the wall and words on the window only mention ice cream... probably change "ice cream" to "gelato"??? If that's true? Although the ice cream/gelato seemed really cold- a tell tale sign of ice...
