We were headed past here to the NRL and on reading the menu stopped here - so glad they had a table and so glad that we stopped. One word - amazing!
Greeted by the amazing Georgia and led to our table in the “sunroom” in the back, we were offered sparkling and still. The venue itself is a quaint yet funky Richmond restaurant with a vibrant cafe feel, making the small space seem spacious and blending the bar feel with the elegance of class.
We ordered the dips, the grill to share, the octopus, eggplant balls and char grilled greens.
Not a fault to mention with all elements cooked to perfection, seasoned fantastically and where applicable, dressed to delight.
The octopus and selection of grilled meats (the lamb and chicken in particular) where tender, moist and just delicious.
The concept of share plates is certainly the target here and the team didn’t miss. Our order was plentiful for the three of us. Combined with the wine and drinks selection (for those drinking with their meal) you won’t be disappointed at all.
Big shout out of appreciation for Georgia in her service approach making our meal timely and relaxed.
As we have more on the menu to sample we will most definitely be back and I would highly recommend you try here if you...
Read moreThis was one of the best Greek restaurants we've had in Melbourne. I can't say it was perfect but most of the dishes we had were outstanding. The dips and bread were delicious. I especially enjoyed the octopus tentacles. They were surprisingly tender and succulent. The king prawns had deep flavours and the cauliflower pops were crunchy and tasty. The only dish that wasn't up to par was the grilled pork, which was a bit tough and dry. The ambience in the courtyard made us feel really relaxed and made the meal much more enjoyable. When it comes to dessert, however, the menu says "Sometimes yes, Sometimes no". I guess when we had our banquet it was a No. It's just a bit odd that a banquette doesn't come with a dessert. And after we wondered and waited for a long while, the waitress hinted that dinner was over. I must say that was a bit disappointing. Also be aware that any party of 6 and above must have...
Read moreI came here after a tip some years ago for the Baklava French toast item and very glad to report it is still on the menu and that I hope it stays that way for years to come. Got in for a late-ish lunch and happily accommodated in a crisp, clean and tidy shop, friendly team. I think they have some tables out the back too but it was a cold day and I didn't look, but this place was warm, and friendly. We had the moussaka and lamb shoulder served hot, complementary salad and bread, and the Baklava French toast (breakfast item) to share as a dessert. Coffee was good too. A la carte menu (some share plates) with specials and some desserts or snacks for tea or coffee on display. We didn't wait long for service or food. Hope you find this review helpful and enjoy your...
