Craving Kimchi Stew one cold night and saw they have one in Clayton meaning didn't have to drive far. Very happy when I saw they have Kimchi Stew on their menu.
It's a quaint rectangular restaurant with beautiful pictures hanging on the wall, mostly favourite dishes being served. Korean traditional roof is also present along the walls, making the intimate area as if you really are in Korea.
Most of their menu are classic Korean dishes and will resonate with the Koreans who miss their home country. The taste is very authentic and yummy.
As the restaurant's name Tofu House, most of their dishes are tofu and mostly spicy.
Kimchi Stew with Rice definitely hit the stop. I was worried that it might too spicy for my liking, but it was mild and really had a great time consuming it. The kimchi was abundant and the soup stayed warm for at least an hour.
Bibimpap Wagyu was equally and the rice at the bottom was crunchy. This bibimpap might be my go to know, when I'm hankering for it.
Corn Cheese was ordered to off set the spiciness, but it has the right balance of creaminess and cheesiness.
Overall great experience and most likely...
Read moreWent out for dinner at Doo Boo with three friends (all guys), and we ordered quite a bit — started with the set menu for 2-3 people which came with tofu stew hotpot, beef bibimbap, soy garlic chicken (small serve), and grilled pork on a hot plate. We added Tteokbokki, bossam, and the beef steak on a hot plate since we were a group of four.
The food itself was decent — flavors were solid and everything came out looking good. However, the portion sizes felt a bit underwhelming, especially considering how much we ordered. The guys were still hungry afterward and joked that it felt like they’d “eaten wind.” Might be fine for a light meal, but if you’ve got a bigger appetite, you’ll likely need to order extra (and even then… maybe more).
Overall, not a bad spot — cozy atmosphere and good variety — but it’s probably better suited for smaller eaters or those not looking to...

My friends and I waited over an hour in the line just to eat the most mediocre food with the extremely questionable service.
We decided to dine at this place after seeing stellar reviews on Tiktok, and after seeing the really long line, I honestly had really high expectations about this place as all the signs around me basically pointed to DooBoo being one of the best in town.
However, I am extremely disappointed as when we got inside, the service was passive aggressive and the food was like any ordinary Korean restaurant, but with smaller portions. Plus, it was quite expensive.
Needless to say, I strongly do NOT...
