Dessert Culture — Restaurant in Melbourne

Very bad experience, be aware of its surcharge… my experience here was very poor, both coconut and matcha bingsoo were out, the coffee machine was out of order. They don’t allow take away of their regular size bingsoo, forcing you go XL. Surcharge of 15% unless you pay cash, and we all know what cash means. We waited there for a long time and you know where they served the customer behind us first and only realised it after that customer told the people there that they got the wrong dish… at this point we were still waiting for another dish of ours, the first one has already started melting. And the worst is this is not the bingsoo, if you are looking for the bingsoo place. This place is actually called dessert culture and just happen to have the word bingsu...

The dessert was nice, but the lack of service had brought this rating down. We sat ourselves down at the last spare table and the table hadn’t been cleared with a tray and bowls still on it - not a big deal as maybe they hadn’t got around to cleaning tables yet. We went up to place our order and asked if someone can also clear the table we were at. We were replied with - we’re quite busy and have a lot of orders tonight….so we are expected to sit on an unclean table? Not really an appropriate answer? The worker then asked us to carry the dirty tray and bowls to them. We complied - but not really a customers job to clear tables from the previous patrons? And not a great experience having our dessert on an unclean table as you were too busy to do...

I recently visited Dessert culture Clayton, and it was an outstanding experience! The bingsu was incredibly refreshing, with a perfect balance of finely shaved ice and flavorful toppings. The variety of options on the menu ensured that there was something for everyone. The presentation was beautiful, and the portion sizes were generous.
