EDIT I want to thank the team at El Toro pizza for looking into an issue with customers out the front of the establishment. I understand that these gentlemen are not owners or employees, and appreciate the reply I received. I'm not sure if it is still visible. I don't wish to damage the reputation of the store or threaten their ability to earn an income. Everyone is battling their own small battles. We are all human. In saying this I hope that the men in question find another doorway to darken, as they would surely be hurting your business' reputation more with their actions than a single bad review.
ORIGINAL POST: Pizza is neither here nor there, but the thing that makes me want to run a mile from this place is the 3 or 4 men who sit out the front smoking. The smoking is not the problem. Their general attitude toward any female walking past makes many women I know about walking past the shop front if they see them there. The running commentary (which is loud enough for the people walking past) about the quality of female, their snide remarks regarding dress sense is unwanted and to be honest disgusting. I have walked past them recently to be humiliated and offended by the snippets of what I heard them saying about me and a friend. I crossed the street on my return trip back down West Street just to avoid the neanderthal behaviour of these men. Even if this was the best pizza I had ever had I'd be terrified to go into the store while they were there, passing judgment on women who neither asked for their opinions or deserved it. It's 2018 gentlemen, your mothers, wives and sisters would he...
Read moreNormally good quality pizza, and comes to the house on time (roughly 30 min wait). But this time round, we order 4 pizzas and the wait time was 1 hr 15 min. I called a couple of times to ask where the pizza is, and the second phone call was appalling. The customer service was shocking as they told me, "if you don't want the pizza, no problem we can just send the driver back" very aggressively and refused to offer a discount based on how late the pizza was. The guy also ended the conversation with me, interrupting with "bye" while I was still talking. Whoever I spoke to was so rude and unhelpful when I said that I'd called 25 min earlier and someone told me my pizza was coming (it wasn't). I shouldn't have to wait for pizza this long and more importantly, this isn't customer service that any of us deserve. Also refused to apologise for how late the pizza was. Hope this review is seen and I'm expecting a rude response from the owner, as he's done for everyone here that's left...
Read moreThis pizza place, "El Toro", has become my regular pizza provider in the Glenroy/Hadfield area of Melbourne. In addition to serving up a decent pizza with quality ingredients, made promptly and consistently tasty, with generous toppings and an above average pizza base, the pizza is served with a big smile in a friendly environment by owner Ibby ? and team. The prices are competetive and are good value for money. "El Toro" has been and remains my favourite pizza joint in the area by miles. My top choice on the menu is still a large vegetarian pizza with anchovies and a kick of chili.Thank you for your great product, with love from your mate Wolfgang. Keep it...
