I recently visited George Jones all-day eatery for breakfast and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. Upon entering the restaurant, I was struck by the clean and welcoming atmosphere, which immediately put me at ease. The staff was friendly and attentive, providing excellent customer service throughout my visit. For my breakfast, I ordered the Big Breakfast, which was an impressive feast of eggs, suzuk,, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, and sourdough toast. The combination of flavors was expertly executed, and I left feeling full and satisfied. I also tried the Sticky Late, which was a delicious and decadent beverage that perfectly complemented my meal. My wife opted for the Fritters and Turmeric Late, and she was equally impressed with her choices. The fritters were crispy and flavorful, with a delightful crunch that contrasted nicely with the soft and creamy interior. The turmeric late was a unique and invigorating beverage that was a great way to start the day. Overall, I highly recommend George Jones all-day eatery for breakfast. The food is excellent, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Whether you're looking for a hearty breakfast or something a little more adventurous, this place has got you covered. Give it a try – you won't be disappointed!

my favourite place to go do colouring in with delicious food and drinks 💕 I haven’t tried too many different dishes yet (I definitely aim to) but I can tell you for certain that their halloumi bites are DELICIOUS along with freshly made, hot and a perfect snacky-vibe meal for when you’re not feeling like something too filling (like if you’ve just been jogging) ~ I also had the acai and berry smoothie which helped the meal become more filling, 10/10 would recommend coming here with your family, friends, housemates or whoever you’d like to meet for a coffee 💖 I didn’t get a coffee this time round but I’ve had it before and their beans are very high quality (I used to be a barista so I get a sense for these kinds of things based on flavour profile, which is robust and bold but not overpowering, I did get it iced at the time though so it would definitely taste even better hot as most coffee beans thrive in a warm cup of coffee 🩷)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Made the trip from Frankston and it was SO worth it! Heard great things about George Jones Eatery and finally made the trek from Frankston to Pascoe Vale—and I’m so glad I did. The oven baked ricotta hotcakes were next level. Light, fluffy, not too sweet, and full of flavour. Topped with fresh berries, syrup, and the perfect creamy finish—it was everything you want from a brunch dish. The special French toast was just as impressive—crispy on the outside, soft and custardy in the middle, and beautifully presented. Service was friendly, the space was bright and modern, and everything came out quickly despite how busy it was. Even though I’m not a local, I’d absolutely come back again. If you're thinking about visiting—just do it. Totally worth the drive.

This happened today while I was at the café with my friend. I usually don’t leave reviews, but the way we were treated was so unacceptable that I felt it needed to be shared.

When our meals arrived, it was immediately obvious that one of the portions of chips was much smaller than the other. We politely pointed this out, expecting a simple solution — maybe just topping up the smaller portion. Instead, the waitress responded with a sarcastic and rude remark: “So you want me to take the extra chips away?” Completely unnecessary.

When we clarified that we just wanted the portions to be equal, she didn’t apologise or try to resolve the issue. Instead, she continued with, “I’ve never heard something like this before. No one ever asked me such a thing.” As if we were somehow being unreasonable for expecting fair portions and a bit of courtesy.

When I calmly said that her attitude wasn’t acceptable, the waitress escalated the situation further with a condescending, “How should I have responded?” and even said, “I don’t respond according to your likings.” I personally gave feedback about her tone, and that’s exactly what she told me — “I don’t respond according to your likings.” Honestly, if that’s the mindset, it’s no surprise the service was so poor.

To top it all off, we also noticed flies buzzing around the cupcakes in the display by the till. When we mentioned it politely, instead of thanking us for pointing out a hygiene issue, we were told off again.

Between the lack of basic customer service, the dismissive attitude, and visible hygiene problems, we left the place genuinely shocked. I would not recommend this café to anyone. If you care about being treated with respect — and eating somewhere clean — this is...

I came here today with colleagues for a meeting, and it was one of the worst café experiences I’ve ever had.

First of all, when our meals arrived, one of our chips was very clearly much smaller than the other. We politely pointed this out, expecting a simple fix. Instead, the waitress replied with an incredibly rude remark: “So you want me to take the extra chips away?” What kind of response is that? We clarified that the solution was simply to add more chips to the smaller plate, but instead of apologising, she doubled down with “I have never heard something like this before. No one ever ask such thing from me before.” No apology, no professionalism.

When one of my colleagues calmly pointed out that her attitude was not acceptable, the waitress escalated things further, saying “How should I have responded?” in a belittling tone, as if we were being unreasonable for expecting basic courtesy. She even went so far as to say, “I don’t respond according to your likings.” Excuse me? That’s exactly what customer service is — treating customers with respect.

To make matters worse, I also noticed flies buzzing over the cupcakes in the display cabinet by the register. When I politely mentioned this, instead of thanking me or fixing the problem, she literally told us off. Absolutely disgraceful.

This café not only fails at basic customer service, but also shows clear hygiene issues. We left shocked at how we were treated and will never be returning. If you value decent service and a clean environment,...
