Was just in the store 5 minutes ago. Guy with the north face vest and sunglasses. As a bakery addict who just purchased an apartment in the neighbourhood I was very excited to try what looked like a quality bakery. THE SERVICE WAS SO RUDE I WAS IN DISBELIEF… I was only one in store. The girl was so rude and cold, I got 7 items and each time I said the next thing I wanted, she tried to wrap up the transaction. Like really? I hate small talk but just a half smile and “is that all today” is all I require. I won’t be back to be treated like that…unless I really really really can’t be bothered getting in the car to go elsewhere. Bakeries like they used to be. Massive choice, and I mean massive choice, of different cakes, doughnuts, slices, biscuits, tarts and sticky buns. Plus hot pies & pasties/sausage rolls and made to order large cakes. Of course breads are thrown into the mix plus coffee, tea and soft drinks with tables outside to stop and eat if you wish. Also an outside order window which is new if you have your doggy or pram with you. In the old post office. Can get busy on weekends with a queue but then that shows the quality and willingness of people to come here. Reminds me of the Acland St cake shops of old only in a nicer more relaxed local locale with no loonies hovering around. Been going for 14 years...luckily live just...

On a 6 day break from Sydney and came across this bakery when driving and craving our first coffee for the day. Coffee was hot and spot on good! Being food conscious people our eyes couldn’t stay off all the delicious looking cakes, biscuits, pies, rolls, sandwiches and so much more available! We ended up sitting down with coffees a lemon tart amazingly good, a wholemeal carrot and seeded muffin so so good and tasty!! A Nutella bomb which was rated 5 star once we returned to surprise my son with it. So glad we stopped here. Atmosphere was relaxed and the people and pets walking past gave the area a good feel.
