My daughter lives in Elwood and she recommended that we ,my mother (91) , myself and daughter try Mokosz. My mother has a plain palate and my daughter said that there was â normalâ food she would enjoy!! The cafe was situated in a lovely old shop with high ceilings lead lights glass, painted white with black contrast and it felt lovely clean and bright The seating was also very comfortable with a choice of alfresco on the street or inside with a cosy alcove included The ambience of the place was relaxing comfortable and pleasurable. The menu had plenty of options including brunch/breakfast, more hearty main courses and a good selection of chicken seafood meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes . Plus different sizes of sides if of you just want to snack. We werenât very hungry so ordered fresh juices, so yummy, small fries with fresh sourdough bread and butter for mum, and Z and I shared a big bowl of sweet potato fries. The presentation was awesome and came with tomato sauce and aolie. Generous servings I was observing other diners meals and the dishes looked delicious and beautifully presented. I was really impressed with Mokosz, it has a blend of modern creative dishes and there is something for everyone . There was interesting little wine list, and I canât wait to return with my daughter and try the crab and chilli scrambled eggs! And enjoy a glass of Italian...
Read moreThe service needs improving. I ordered an iced almond latte and the server gave me my friendâs normal milk latte by mistake. Without knowing I took a few sips before he came back with my almond one and said âI gave you the wrong one, they all look the same to me, hope youâre not allergic!â I found that comment so strange but even more stranger is then he proceeded to give my friend the coffee i had just had sipped from. I said to him âno donât give it to her as i had already drank someâ And he said to my friend, âoh you donât mind do you?â After telling him again you canât give her that drink he reluctantly said oh I guess we could make a new one then. In what world do you give someoneâs drink to another person after theyâve drunk from it?? I donât mind mistakes but thatâs not a way to fix it. And no youâre lucky I wasnât allergic lol. The food was...

They seem to congregate speaking to each other and not attempting to serve anyone. This occurred both when I was trying to order and pay, and when I was trying to flag down a missing dish. Nevertheless the food was tasty enough and the place is certainly pumping (I suspect largely owing to the monopoly it holds in the vicinity. Pretty decor, which theyâve seemingly focused on more...
