Flaked Out Fish & Chippery — Restaurant in Melbourne

Best fish and chips I've had in melbourne in a very long time. Even with the 2022/2023 inflation the prices on most things are still good which will keep most people coming back.

Great chicken souvlakis always come here for this. Chicken Schnitzel burger is great and well priced. With the lot beef burger one of the best i've ever had.

I'm not normally a chip eater from fish and chips because most places suck - This place does awesome chips and their potato cakes are the best I've ever had.

Service is always friendly and they are quick too. 15min before closing, place a pick up order over the phone, food is perfectly cooked hot and fresh and best part is they won't turn down your order even when close to closing time.

Have yet to try the fish here, but am making my way through the menu, hard to try different things when the souvlakis and burgers are so good.

I've been coming here on and off for the last few years, it seems to have gotten better over the years.

Hopefully nothing changes unless it's for the better moving forward as this is probably the best fish and chip shop i've found...

Opened promptly at 11.30am The gentleman that unlocked the door warned me that the floor had just been mopped and still a little wet. I asked the lady behind the counter what fish she would recommend ... Blue Grenadier, so I ordered that and a medium serve of chips. I took my lunch to the Elwood Beach and sat in the car to eat it. The fish was beautiful and I would highly recommend it. The chips were about average. I would score my overall experience 8/10, The parking was a bit of a nightmare, I managed to squeeze in in the car park at the rear. It seemed that building works had taken up most of them. The shop was clean, hand cleanser on the counter for customers and staff wore masks. updated - was the best Fish & Chips in the area, but seems to have changed again. Calamari is back to the bad old days of fake stuff. Chips soft. Fish ok but nothing special.

Best Fish & Chips in the area. Went through an ordinary patch for a while, but seems to be getting back on mark again. Calamari is tender and not that horrible fake stuff. Chips are generally crisp. Fish is tasty and well cooked - battered or grilled - and usually served with lemon slices. South Melb dimmies or standard.
