Grill'd Nightmare: Lost Order, Missing Hunger, Major Letdown! Yo, burger lovers! Listen up, because my recent trip to Grill'd was a straight-up disaster. I mean, picture this: you're hangry, craving a juicy, flame-grilled masterpiece, and you waltz into Grill'd, all smiles and ready to rumble. But instead of burger bliss, you get... oblivion.
Yeah, that's right. We waited over 30 minutes for our food, watching table after table get served while our order apparently decided to take a spontaneous vacation to the Upside Down. Turns out, it got lost. Lost! Like, how does a burger order just disappear in thin air? It's not a tiny fry you can blame on a rogue seagull, folks.
And the apology? Let's just say it wouldn't win any awards for sincerity. A mumbled "sorry" and a shrug? Not exactly what you expect from a place known for its good vibes and customer service.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity (and several hangry growls later), our burgers arrived. Look, the food itself wasn't bad. But let's be honest, by that point, the disappointment had already turned our stomachs into mosh pits. The whole experience left a seriously bad taste in my mouth, like someone replaced my patty with a pile of frustration.
Now, I'm not saying Grill'd is always like this. I've had good experiences there before. But this? This was a major burger blunder. So, if you're thinking of heading there, be prepared for the possibility of time-traveling orders and apologies that wouldn't impress a wooden plank. ⏱️♀️
Remember, there's a whole world of burger joints out there that won't leave you hangin' (and hangry!). Choose wisely, my friends, and may your burger dreams never get lost in the abyss.

Read moreI’m rating this as a place to work, rather than a customer. The good things: 50% discount on most of the menu You will meet some awesome and friendly people. Free RSA The bad things (and some not so legal things they do): The work is hard The pay is so incredibly low and not even worth the working conditions They surcharge 15% on public holidays but the employees do not receive any extra pay. The owner claims it goes towards our paid leave, but I never once received any of it. A slight cross contamination problem here that’s been going on for a while, dominos was way worse though. You only get 15 minute breaks every 5-8 hours of work (the minimum requirement is 30 mins which is what the contract states). “Hospitality eating” in that 15 minutes (which is very hard and triggering for someone who’s had an Eating Disorder). Although you can usually push it to 20+ minutes, some of the managers DO enforce the 15 minute break and you will get in trouble for it. (I once went 17 minutes and got told off by an assistant manager) No matter how hard you work, they will make you feel like you’re not doing enough.
I wouldn’t recommend working here. There’s so many other places at Fountain Gate that pay much better...
Read moreCame here on 12/01/25 with my daughter. We were promptly greeted and told we could sit anywhere we liked as it wasn't busy. There were only two other tables being occupied. We ordered two burgers a regular fries and regular sweet potato fries. Our burgers came out pretty quickly minus the chips. We were told they would be there shortly. Regular chips came about 5 minutes later and then had to wait extra for the sweet potato. This was extremely irritating. Don't serve the burgers if the chips aren't ready! By the time it came out our burgers were cold. Atmosphere was disgraceful. It felt as though we were sitting in the middle of a rubbish tip. All the tables were dirty. We hopped from one table to the next trying to find a clean one! All the cushioned seats had greasy fingerprints all over them. To make matters worse one staff member was pacing the floor up and down clicking and clapping his hands, while the other was just standing there. They seemed extremely bored. Maybe this doesn't happen every night, but it sure made our experience very disappointing. SUGGESTIONS: Train your staff on how to clean up after customers have left ( not just taking plates away) Don't serve burgers...
