Three issues I want to raise with you that being of the kid who was in charge on Sunday afternoon around 4:30 who I spoke to on the phone, my burger and drink coming in two separate bags and the gluten free bun coming repeatedly burnt with delivery lately and his response was “that’s just how we do it” with the tone of a child with an attitude problem. Far out, yuck.
Firstly, all of that is false. I’ve had the burger at the same store last week and the bun was not served black and hard on the edges and dark brown for the rest of the bun. It was golden brown and perfectly delicious, I do enjoy Grilled burgers. When I told this to the boy on the phone his response was that they just put it through the toaster twice and that’s just what they do. 🙄
I’ve also had orders where the drink is in the same bag as everything else - does it seriously need to be explained why this is wasteful, delivering it in TWO bags 🤦🏻♀️. When I raised this issue he just snapped back that that’s just how they deliver drinks, even if it’s one, in two seperate bag. And that if I had such an issue with it to write it in the notes section, basically putting the onus on me - the friken nerve! False and his blatant inability to hear where I’m coming from, Jesus Christ… yuck.
The Interaction with the immature kid and his abhorrent attitude was just the cherry on the cake.
Hated this experience and being spoken down to like that. I wasn’t being rude or frustrated, I wanted the restaurant to know just as a heads up. Clearly he doesn’t care.
Update: I reached out to Grilled and emailed them a photo clearly showing the over-grilled buns. They responded, saying they would follow up on the issue. However, I placed another order (two weeks later, thinking by now things would be better) nothing has changed. It’s incredibly disappointing. I shouldn’t have to pay for food that’s clearly burnt.
It’s like they don’t listen or care, why as a customer am I wasting so much of my time to...
Read morepretty rude server. when we showed up and stated that we had made an online order and he looked at the screen quite puzzled as if the order could not be found and then looked back at us. when we didn’t say anything, he simply said “well, it’s not ready yet”. we then asked another server if it was okay if we had the online order as dine in and she said this was fine and walked off without asking anymore questions (eg. table number). after about 10 minutes of sitting down (not necessarily a long time) i was concerned that maybe our order hadn’t actually gone through and that if it had they were not aware of where to bring it, so i went to the counter and, very politely, asked whether there was an order coming under our name. the server (maybe the shift manager?) without even looking at me, in an aggressive tone says to me “yeah, give me a moment, it’s not ready”. was genuinely shocked and went back to the table to wait. when the order was brought out to us by him, he insisted on doing a funny voice when announcing the burger names so that nobody understood who’s burger was who’s....
Read moreI have always loved grill'd so it's been a great disappointment to give this a bad review, but it just wasn't richt how we were pestered away. And I've always wondered why I've walked past this place and it seems empty.
Went here with a friend last week Wednesday, it was around 4pm so there was only one other table when we got there. We got a bunch of stuff burgers, fries, drinks and it didn't take to long. The food was good, we were planning on getting more chips but as we were half way through. One of the staff would come out kept trying to take away our food, like we were obviously still eating and there were no other customers at this point so what was the rush? We had barely stayed there for 20 minutes, and they kept reaching for the container with chips and we kept saying "no, we are not done yet". Anyway, this spot may be really good for take away, but they really don't want you to stay in and eat, you would think that a restuarant would want to look at least a little busy at all times. Well at least on Lygon there's a whole lot of...
