Grill'd Knox — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’m a Grill’d lover, it has always been my favourite casual dining/ takeaway as it is healthy and delicious. Recently I went to the Knox store which I have never had issues prior but have not been to in a while. There was a table of 10 of us and we all individually ordered on our QR codes. I ordered at 6:57 and was told my order would be ready by 7:09. Same with the rest of my table. By 7:29 one person had received their drinks, the rest of our drinks forgotten. We had to go collect them ourselves. Our food also should have arrived at this point 20 minutes prior but we were fine waiting. People arriving after us were getting their burgers and we had had no update. Finally one by one we start getting our burgers with the first arriving at 7:44. You can count how many minutes past the approximate time that is. Following this ALL of our burgers were beyond over cooked with the chicken rock hard and the buns tasting stale. Items requested without items came with the items. They were sloppy and slapped together. The chicken was also significantly smaller and thinner than the usual chicken breast used. One burger the chicken only covered half of the bun. By 7:50 two people still did not have their burger and when they went to inquire they were passed it in a takeaway bag when their QR clearly said dine in. No idea how long it had been sitting there and it was ice cold. They asked for it to be remade and the staff was rude and unapologetic telling them they would have to wait another 40 minutes. We understand places can get busy but this is beyond unacceptable, I have not even had to wait this long at fine dining or nice and busy restaurants. I usually love Grill’d Knox as it is my closest Grill’d but will definitely be rethinking...

Fast and friendly service even on a busy night. However to our great disappointment we've noticed pieces of bacon being cooked amongst vegetarian and vegan burgers. It absolutely spoiled our experience and what was meant to be our dinner. The taste of meat was obvious on our veggie burgers which made them "impossible" (to eat) burgers. I've asked staff member about it and been told "the vegan/vegetarian burgers are cooked on a separate grill plates, however they are busy today". They were extremely busy indeed and I felt bad complaining but it is absolutely not ok for a vegan/vegetarian burger to be covered in dead pigs fat! Half an hour after I spoke to them the bacon was being cooked amongst the veggie patties again. I don't think our family will be going back any time soon. Arrived to a dirty table that we cleaned ourselves. The outside area where we sat was full of debris and food scraps, appeared it had not even been swept since the wind storm yesterday. No staff interaction and a barcode to get table service. Service was slow and when we asked for salt for the chips the staff advised they do not have any salt shakers only pepper grinders. They could not answer us when we asked why. When our sliders came they could have been hotter and no offer from staff to provide us with serving plates to eat off. No staff keeping an eye out for anyone requiring service and therefore had to get up and go into the store to find someone to advise that our beers were yet to arrive.
