Indian Villa Tandoori Kitchen & Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Hi there, so I was in rye looking for something to take home for dinner and looked online for some Indian and we found this restaurant it sounded good and when looking online at there menu I was prepared to spend the $60 it stated on the menu online after looking through and deciding I gave them a call and placed my order she told me a 30 minute wait which I did not mind as she told me before hand so we waited I went in store to pay and my bill and was told it would be a few more minutes it was like $83 I did not say anything paid my bill grabbed a menu and went back to the car the menu in store was substantially higher for some things which brought my bill up $20 after going back to receive my bill I asked who was in charge and told them what the problem was and all I got was we recently changed the menu no apologies or wanting to rectify any problem so I came home with my food did not push the matter further my food was very small for the $22 asking price and was all very bland I would definitely not...

We have eaten here on many occasions and recently went with friends. Table of eight. The service is always friendly and prompt. The entree cauliflower was very nice and the samosas were also lovely. Our meals came out all together so people at our table didn't have to wait for others to get theirs. We ordered Beef Saag and Chicken Madras for mains. Beef Saag sauce was a bit thick but the dish was very nice. Lovely delicate flavours and tender beef. Chicken Madras was beautiful. Sauce magnificent. Basmati rice fluffy and cooked perfectly. The only con was I had a rickety chair. Food is always great here. Service Also. Being able to take your own wine is a bonus and they even split the bill up for our four couples which we rounded off with a tip. This is always a bonus when you're out with a group, but please leave tips if you want them to do this for you. Best Indian food...

There are many Indian restaurants in and around Melbourne but not ALL are same. Some very popular due to the name and some because of food & service which are very important.

Indian Villa Tandoori Kitchen in Rye, right opposite the beach front is a great example of one of the finest experiences in dine-in food. The food was awesomelydelicious, we gave feedback directly to the busy chef, his staff and the manager. We were a large group of 18 people and still were accommodated at a short notice. We saved time by doing a pre-order over the phone, we were greeted with smile and were kindly asked to keep our dine-in to shortest time possible due to another advance booking for a big group right after our dine-in. We kept our commitment in return.

Overall experience: 10.5/10, completely exceeded our expectations. Keep up the great service and keep serving...
