Vulcano Gelato Rye — Restaurant in Melbourne

Half my family got ice cream from here whilst the other half got it from mubble however we decided to sit at the front of their shop. Being 4 kids around one of the ice creams was spilt. The oldest child went inside nicely to ask for another spoon so the kids could share what was left and the old lady worker said no you got ice cream from mubble so you need to go there for a spoon (even though her ice cream was from here).

I approached the older lady and said she could have given a child a spoon and not been so rude and she continued to argue telling us it isn’t from her shop so no spoon.

Thankfully the one of the nice workers did give us a spoon but cmon such an over exaggeration.

She said 1 spoon per ice cream. Kids are going to drop spoons, couples and families may want to share the one ice cream.

This is what I call REAL Gelato. Absolutely delicious, creamy, stretchy and smooth gelato is exactly what you'll get at Vulcano. There is a variety of common and unique flavours of yummy goodness to fix your sweet tooth. There are also heaps of really delicious looking donuts and classic Italian desserts which add to the Sicilian theme of Vulcano. Wonderful staff who are really generous with servings so you really get your money's worth. They are also open late and trust me, the night-life here is the best experience. Music, seating areas and lights create the most amazing night vibe for a chilled summer night. Highly recommend...

Was on my holidays and I dropped by this gelato place. Not only was the gelato delicious and fantastic, I have got to say from my years in hospitality experience I am very impressed by the two boys with their customer service skills. They were respectful, interactive, made sure you walked out with great tasting gelato that you would like, attentive and just simply nice. I wish this business many years of success and will definitely come back when I make a trip to Rye again! I recommend the ferrero rocher, limoncello and i did try their signature Vulcano, delicious and not at all overpowering of sweets....
