Absolutely deplorable. My wife is coeliac and had read reviews talking about Mr Bentley having gluten free buns. We ordered delivery via menulog and paid $22 for a burger + $1 extra for gluten free option and received a burger patty only wrapped in some wilted lettuce! Why would it cost extra to NOT include a burger bun?? All other food was stone cold, chips were soggy and kids wouldn't eat the hotdogs because "they were cold and tasted weird". We waited over an hour for this food which cost us $100 for 2 kids hotdogs, 1 burger, 1 serve of chips and a meat patty wrapped in lettuce. Was going to drive down there and ask for a refund, but then my wife would either have to wait for another hour for them to rectify or get a refund and go hungry. Food is always good and consistent. The vegan option is also delicious and great quality. Perfect thicker cut chips.
I know some people have said it's a nod to maccas, but to be honest, a cheese burger is a cheese burger except maccas is providing a quick slapped together flat burger, not the quality and size of Mr Bentleys.
Staff are also great - unfortunately, I don't think people understand that service in a smaller beach side town tends to vary based on peak tourist season.
Shout out to the guy working FOH today, apologies on behalf of the women who kicked up over waiting for you to make them their coffees. Unsure why you'd pick a place that specialises in burgers etc. to purchase a coffee if you're a snob about it, but that's just me lol.

Read moreI want to thank the chef and whole team at Mr Bentleys, I ordered a quarter panda through Menulog and when I got it, it was still a little pink inside, my husband assured me it was fine to eat but I suffer from AFRID and simply couldn’t stomach it, I called the shop and the lovely women who answered the phone offered me store credit which I was happy to do. I then got a call back 5 minutes later asking for my address and told a new one would be dropped off to my door from the shop. They did not have to do this nor did they have to care about my food aversion because as my husband said “it’s still ok to eat” but they went above and beyond to help a local customer out with a super sweet message about on the wrapper as well. they did all this on Christmas Eve !!!
