Food was average but the whole experience was brought down by the exceptionally poor service. I hope management reviews this and thinks more about their customers’ experiences.
We were the only table in the restaurant but the service was sloppy. The waitress kept putting her finger in our food every time she served a dish. The waitress was also very slow at responding to simple questions.
The restaurant here also needs to fix their fries/chips policy. We had requested for our steak and parma to come with a side of chips. We received the thick cut chips and thought that was the standard. We then pointed to the chips asked for another bowl. But then out came french fries (which did not taste as good). When we queried this, the waitress rudely told us it was the standard to serve French fries unless otherwise asked? This made no sense since this was our first time in this restaurant and they initially served us thick cut chips with our main meals. Nowhere in the menu did they specify that fries were standard. When we brought this to the attention of the manager, they simple said ‘oops my bad’ and we were still charged for the...
Read moreWent there for a family get together on a Tuesday (22 people). Focaccia bread for on trays, never seen it so dry, overcooked and bland. I would accept this if at least it was hot/warm, no it was cold. Domino's cardboard box takes better I reckon. One of the meals, a veal scaloppini was off to the point of throwing up. Seafood pasta looked like it had been somehow recycled, only the chicken was okay but the sauces were so greasy it was not funny. I have been coming to this restaurant for over 15 years and an absence from the area we were very surprised how it went from being one of the best La Porchetta outlets to being a total disgrace. MACAS would have been a far better acceptable choice based on food quality, let alone the cost. So La Porchetta Carlton is out of our list, so is Broadmeadows La Porchetta and now Niddrie. Sorry Mr La Porchetta but you have dropped your ball. Next time I feel good Italian food, I will go to Lygon Street instead, or may even...
Read moreA local favourite bar and restaurant right in the heart of Keilor Rd Niddrie, because it consistently offers a wide range of quality dining with indoor and outdoor seating, online ordering and takeaway, and menu specials throughout the week. Their Italian and Mediterranean inspired lunch and dinner menu is extensive, and includes vegetarian options. Seriously, everything is always cooked to perfection - food is always fresh and full of flavour, juicy and delicious. And generous in size and reasonably priced and served quickly. The Hosts are always welcoming, friendly and professional and the restaurant is always very clean and seating comfortable for couples or families or special occasions. Strongly suggest their signature pizza with The Lot, their Italian salad with a side of hot chips, and a glass or two of their house red wine. Enjoy your meal, or as the Italians say “Buon appetito”! VERY HIGHLY...
